I'm in my early 30s, love to travel, be crafty, take pictures and explore the wonderful city I live in.. I'm a vegetarian and I have a serious sweettooth!
Some of my favorite things are reading, Hawaiian and Japanese inspired items, photography, lace, rick rack, broken jewelry, Marie Antoinette, Napoleon and Josephine, fairy tales dala horses, pretty soaps, peonies, gardenias, botanical and other scientific illustrations, and Victorian era inspired things. I have started to collect photo ACEOs. I collect postcards and elongated coins (pressed pennies). Lately, I've also gotten into young adult books. Some favorites are the Hunger Games series, Vampire Academy series, Kelley Armstrong's Darkest Powers, Twilight, Shiver and Linger, Rachel Hawkins Hex Hall, and The Mortal Instruments.
Animals I love include sea horses, peacocks, jellyfish, birds, wombats and cats and dogs.
I LOVE French themed things - anything from France, things written in French, etc. I also love all things Alice in Wonderland, especially the Tenniel illustrations. One super wishlist item is a copy of Alice in French and English in a bilingual edition (printed in the same book).
My favorite colors are aqua and pink. I also like red, purple, jewel toned colors. I love the combo of red/aqua and black/white.
Favorite art includes the Dutch masters like Vermeer, impressionist painters like Monet, art deco, art nouveau, Mucha, Lewis Carroll photographs, Annie Liebovitz, Dorothea Lange, Frida Kahlo, and vintage Tiffany, Cartier, Lalique for amazing jewelry.
I am open to private swaps for postcards, candy, pressed pennies, or whatever.
I always send my swaps on time and I always rate fairly. Swaps should be fun and not a hassle! I believe in quality over quantity and would much rather have one decent item than a bunch of dollar store items.
You do not need to send me extras to receive hearts, although they are appreciated! I don't know how much I am into the hearts system, but I always give hearts when I can tell you have put care into what you send (like actually reading my profile), not just if I like it. I always aim for hearts when sending my swaps out, but I understand we all have different tastes.
Sometimes I regift what I receive on here and it's not personal. Sometimes I get things that just don't fit into my collections so I pass them along to people who will be able to use them more than I will.

To me, there is no such thing as a candy that isn't good, or anything sweet for that matter! Favorite American chocolates are butterfingers, kit kat, Reeses pieces. I also love British candies and would love to try new kinds. I'm not a coffee drinker, but I love tea, especially black and green teas. Fruit teas are also okay. I also love hot chocolate. Please - No Swiss Miss hot chocolate or US Lipton's tea! You can find that anywhere.
I love postcards from all over the world! It's a longshot, but I will love you forever if you send me postcards from anywhere in Africa, Central or South America or any other "rare" country. I also love landscapes from your area, US state flower cards, cute animals with text written in foreign languages, UNESCO sites, city views, ancient sites, European views. I also like recipe postcards (other languages are fine!). I recently started to collect map cards from all over the world. I prefer my postcards unwritten in an envelope whenever possible because of the damage from the USPS, but no problem if you can't send that way.
If you have any US postcards published by Smith Southwestern (SSI), I'd be interested in a trade!
Please do not send me any postcard that is self printed/self made (like through Vista Print, Cafe Press, etc.) Store bought only please! I also prefer to not receive postcards with perforated edges from postcard books.
Sorry if this sounds obvious and/or condescending but please do not send me torn or damaged cards. I have gotten some really damaged cards (in envelopes!) and it's just not fun to receive junk. Please only send me something you would like to get too.
State cards I need: North Dakota, Rhode Island
State flower cards I need: AR, CT, DE, FL, HI, IL, KY, ME, MA, MO, NC, NV, NH, NM, ND, OH, OR, OK, RI, SC, TN, UT, VT, VA, WV, WI, WY
State map cards I need: Only South Dakota!
I also like regional and of course international maps.
I don't want to turn my profile into a huge wishlist, but there are a few things that I would not care for and I don't want you to waste your time or money!
Please, no
