About Me

Hello from Canada! I am a health policy researcher with a background in sociology. I am currently getting over the huge lack of sleep and am loving being a mom. One year Parental Leave in Canada means that I have taken up blogging, baking cupcakes and am doing the playgroup circuit. I wish I was a bit more crafty but sadly I'm not...however I still try.

Things I Love

the colour blue, the ocean, willow trees, anime, graphic novels, bubble baths, chocolate, cupcake sprinkles, old children’s books, stickers, tea, ribbons, poka-dots, Bento Boxes and sleeping-in. :)

My Family

I met my husband at a rave in 1998 and started dating him two years later. We got married in 2006 and now have a son, Logan, who is four months old. We're looking forward to moving into our new house thain two weeks. My hubby would like to add a snake or a lizard to our family....I'm trying to convince him a fish would be better.

My Son

Logan loves fish, zoo animals, basketball and avoiding naps. He likes board books, esp. the ones that you pet (we have two on farm animals already). If you're crafty we would love blocks made of material (I can stuff them here even) or felt toys.

Recent News

We are moving into our new house on Aug 26th and I'm getting all four of my wisdom teeth out a few days later! :~( ....so I'm taking a short break from swap-bot until we are settled

Comment: Thank you so much for the great package you put together for Julian! He immediately put the plane together and played with it at the park today. He just made a chain with the pipe cleaners across his room and is calling it his "shoe hanger" and is hanging his shoes from it! He is enjoying every bit of the wonderful package. Oh, he just told me to tell you that it had everything he wanted :) THANK YOU!!!!

Comment: Firstly, I have a little boy too and I cannot understand how you get the time to keep such a detailed blog! The blog is fantastic - I love the Logan on Safari and Logan visiting the museum, he is such a cultured little fellow! Hi! I visited the Trixie Tracker and wow! It was amazing! Doesn't it add more work for you? I remember when my son was a baby and I did track some stuff as he was my first baby and to reassure myself he was normal- but that was just for a few days! Logan is 5 months old already! You're a SuperMom!
