Hello! I have been married for 33 years and am the mother of 2 wonderful children, Melissa & Beau. I have a 13 year old grandson, Jordan and a step-grandaughter, Amanda, also 13. We also have 4 dogs, 3 minature daschunds, Samson, Sophie and Pissy(his name says it all!) and a stray that was terribly abused that wound up in our yard. His name is Stray(Also another brilliant name!). My husband works for the Post Office, and we also own a local bar. I am originally from Arizona and have lived in Florida for 14 years. This is my husbands home town and this is where we retired to after military life.It is a very small town, but within 35 miles to drive for all shopping and entertainment. We are in the rural part of the panhandle of Florida and about 45 miles from the beach. So it is perfect, we only have the tourists driving thru to get to the beach and that is bad enough! I am a proud sponsor of one of our local Relay for Life teams, Reach Out Walton County. Our bar is very active in sponsoring bike runs, raffles, cookouts and anything that raises money and brings awareness to the fight for Cancer. Our bar is also a proud member of the Guardiam Ad Lidem in Walton County. We raise money every year at Christmas to help buy gifts for children in foster care.I have a great patronage at John T's and I am very proud of the work I, my staff and our patrons do!
I love most all music, except for rap. I am partial to country music, and love the rock and pop of the 70's & 80's. I also love classical, not vocal, but instrumental. We have Karaoke at our bar on Fri & Sat, so we get a taste of all kinds! It's usually pretty good, but really bad when you don't even know what song is being sung!! But we say the Clap is Free at John T's Bar!!
My favorite topics are Mystery, True Crime and Biographies. But will branch out to about anything interesting. I read all the time and get very panicky if I am reading a book and know I only have 1 more waiting! I have recently started reading about the First Ladies, so much behind the man that you would never know. So any books like that would be greatly appreciated.
Have to admit that one of my all time favorites is Dirty Dancing! Will watch it every time I come across it.Legends of the Fall is also another one I can watch over and over. Steel Magnolias, Shawshank Redemption,The Color Purple and anything with John Travolta are some true favorites.Am also a big fan of old black and white movies, especially Bette Davis and Barbara Stanwyck.Don't seem to find the time to watch many movies, but have dozens recorded!
Law & Order, SVU, CI, all of the spin-offs. Never miss Dancing With the Stars, that's the only reality type I watch every week. I enjoy a wide variety of the History Channel, A&E, guess more of the true stories. I am also an HLN junkie!
I enjoy crocheting. Used to do all kinds of crafts, but when the eyes go!!! My stash of card making and scrapbooking supplies is growing with the help of all the great people here, but as always, can use more. I have just started making cards and finding I love it. Goodbye Hallmark!! Now I can add another addiction-making matchboxes . I am addicted to making them at the moment and anythings to decorate, fill or use to make them would be appreciated. I wanted to add that I love homemade items. I see profiles that say otherwise, but I think the time and effort someone puts into making something is worth receiving it. And I find alot of dollar store goodies, so don't have a problem with getting those goodies myself. I just find it such a treat to receive a package in the mail!!
Purple, Green, Blue, Red, Black, Yellow

Small doodads for stuffing matchboxes

Any kind of embellishments
Anything with Pink Flamingos! You should see my tattoo!!
Dangle earrings & bracelets, love homemade (I can wear anything in my ears)
Love wind chimes-anything that tinkles!

Small empty perfume decanters, used is fine, just empty
Fuzzy socks for around the house (Sz 7 shoe)
Doggie treats for my spoiled babies!

Any paper punches, new or used if you have any doubles
Any supplies for the cricut expression, if you can find them on sale, mats, needles, etc.
Cardstock paper for making matchboxes, the heavier paper holds up better
Any holiday themed scrapbook papers
I am totally addicted to Diet Coke!! I enjoy hot choclate all year long. Not a big coffee or tea drinker, but I do enjoy flavored coffee ocassionally, vanilla & choclate types. Of course chocolate, my all time favorite is Nestle Crunch, but I don't like dark chocolate. But please don't send anything that melts during the summer months! It gets very hot and humid here, and if I don't get the package right away, it is all melted! I can't stand black licorice or butterscotch! I don't have any food allergies. Would love to get any kind of spices that are unusual to my neck of the woods.
I promise to always send my swaps. I will always rate and if you do not receive my package or if I miss giving you a rating, please notify me asap. With my husband working for the Post Office(no boos or hisses!!), he can check immediately to see what happened. If for any reason I can not send by the deadline date, I will e-mail and tell you why the delay. I am also very understanding on times when life can bite you in the butt and you may be late, but all I ask is that you let me know.

I do live in a smoking home. I would never want to cause any problems for anyone with allergies, health problems, etc. so I would ask that you please try not to give me as a partner to someone this would affect, if that is at all possible. I don't know if it can be done, but thanks just the same.
