I'm branching out to enjoy inchies, twinchies, tags, postcards and more in addition to Artist Trading Cards.
I try to work with paper every day! I am returning to my art after a couple years off during which time we adopted two little girls from China.
Now I have three grown children (or almost grown) and two little ones who love to cut and glue right along with me! Our life is busy, that's for sure. But these girls are a blessing to us every day!
I love ATCs and any kind of collage art. I have loved paper all my life, and collage and altered art just seem to be a perfect extension of a life long passion.
My favorite themes are vintage children, anything with wings, fairies, crowns, numbers, letters, zetti style, Asian and more.
I collect Asian ATCs because I'm trying to make a notebook for each of my daughters from China. I also collect any sort of Asian theme art supplies....papers, collage or photo items.
I love paper, collage images, rubber stamps, embellishments, especially metal ones.
I also collect postcards! I especially like Asian or vintage theme postcards.
Right now I'm fascinated by the SteamPunk style. I am also learning to draw Tangles in the Zentangle style.
I like letter stickers, and I love other embellishments, especially all sorts of bling and metal.
I like to make my art pop with color and I like it to be surprising...... more to it than first meets the eye.
I love the Grunge look in paper and art. I love paper flowers, unusual brads and buttons.
Metal hearts are something I can't seem to get enough of.
My art website is out of date, but I hope to add some current items soon.
I love to read. I have read everything written by Amy Tan and John Irving. I read myself to sleep everynight. Usually I buy my books at thrift stores for under $1, but if there is something special I just can't wait to read, I'll order it.
Every day I look forward to my nightly routine of going to bed and reading while I eat my favorite candy. That's really the only time I am alone in the day.
For the sake of swapping goodies with others I'm adding a little more information so my partners will know more about me.
I love to read and I enjoy having new bookmarks, either handmade or purchased.
I love paper!!! Beyond the collage and other interesting papers I use in my art, I really like note cards and random envelopes. Again, handmade ones are special, but anything is fine. Even random assortments you leftover.
ANYTHING PAPER will make me giddy! Ephemera, postage stamps, old sewing patterns, maps, words, book pages, and similar items will be put to good use.
I crave quality drawing paper for my Zentangles along with Micron markers.
I also love when a package includes backs for making ATCs. I often cut my own from cereal boxes so it's a treat to have real ones made of study material like mat board.
I also collect rubber stamps and love unusual ones.
I have two 6 year old girls who think getting something in the mail is great fun. They love crayons, markers, drawing paper, coloring books, workbooks, etc. And I would be tickled to have goodies for them instead of myself.
I love any kind of pens, pencils, notepads, composition or notebooks of any kind. Pencil holders, small pencil sharpeners, etc.
My favorite candy is Hershey Kisses with Almonds. My other favorite is any kind of gummy candy except the super sour ones.
I drink coffee and tea..... all day long. :)
I love items from different cultures, fun dish clothes for my kitchen, recipes, bubble gum, small bowls or containers for organizing, charms, letter stickers, flower seeds, and really just anything! Surprises are such great fun!
NOTE: I don't like perfume or scented candles. Things with scents often trigger migraine headaches for me, so I ask that nothing with fragrance be sent to me.
My two little girls are 6 years old. They just love for interesting mail to arrive. They have their own craft box and enjoying cutting and glueing right beside me. Feel confident that anything you send me will be ooh and ahh-ed over by all of us!
You can make their day with stickers, paper, glue sticks, coloring books, small boxes of crayons, markers, etc. Getting a new box never gets old!
And finally, I enjoy every swap I do on Swap-bot and I give each swap my best effort. If something doesn't arrive and I am your partner, please let me know. I will be happy to re-send. Or if for some reason you are not exceedingly happy with the item I send you, I'll be glad to make it better.

Hey Sherri! We re partners for the TEA LOVERS ATC, and I just stopped by to say hello! I saw your website and fell in love with all those beautiful atcs of yours, i really love your work!.. I also saw that you made a journal for a swap.. i just happened to join the beginners journal swap and was wondering if you had any tips to share.. this is my first art journal and I'm really excited about it.. but any advice is appreciated! Thanks
Hi Sherri, Hope you are doing well.. I am your partner for the 'read my profile and leave a comment' swap. Firstly, You've completed nearly 200 swaps.. how cool! I am a quite new to swap-bot, but Im loving it. Glad to know you are back on swapbot. You're two little crafting queens sound very cute. I love reading too, esp. a lot of books from China/India/Japan - I find these countries are so culturally fascinating. I've only read one book by Amy Tan so far though.. must speed up my reading.. Too much to read and so little time!.. I wish all of you a very happy new year and happy swapping! I am off to find out what zentangles and zetti style mean! :)
Hi Sherri Thank you so much for the kind words. I see that you like a lot of the same things that I do, so if you ever want to do a private swap, that would be great. Yes, surviving such a devastation as I did change not only my physical being, but definitely grew my spirit beyond anything I could ever imagine. Being alive is truly the greatest gift the Lord could ever have given me. Take care and let me know if you would like to do a private swap Sandi
Oh my goodness I had to laugh at how many times I said "me too!" to myself as I was reading through your profile ( for the Read my profile and post a comment swap). I pretty much ONLY buy books at the thrift stores...AND I have to read to fall asleep! lol Our physical tastes- likes and dislikes are pretty much the same too. How fun to have TWO adopted girls! and what a great idea to collect Asian themed items to scrapbook for them! Sorry to hear about your migraines though...I LOVE scented candles and can't imagine not being able to enjoy those. I really enjoyed you including the girls in your profile! Too cute! Thanks
Hello Sherri, I'm one of your partners for Look at my profile and leave a nice comment. I am glad to see you are back to Swapping. Life can get pretty crazy some times but it is nice to get that something special in the mail. I am sure your two little girls are angels. Wish you and your family all the best in the coming year. ~Janis
