About Me

Currently I am not participating on Swap-bot because of time and financial constraints.

My husband & I enjoy retirement and live on a floating home in the Columbia River. Our rambunctious dog Sadie shares our enthusiam for river life.

My passion is creating cloth dolls. I also enjoy sewing, knitting, crocheting and playing with paper. I'm a proud mother of three and grandmother of five.

More About Me . . .

I enjoy interesting, interested people, lazy, sleep-in mornings and up-until-dawn creative, crafting nights. I like kayaking on the river with my husband, knitting with my friends and chatting with my daughters about the small and large events in life.

Craft Items . . .

I like trims, ribbons, buttons, fabric, yarn, fibers and beads that I can use for creating cloth dolls. I like fabric pens, pigma pens, gel pens and watercolor pencils.

I enjoy seeing clever uses for common objects.

Colors . . .

I'm consistently drawn to subdued Autumn colors . . . browns, golds, olive greens, burnt reds. Our home is Craftsman/Bungalow style and I love the earthy color pallet. It's warm, welcoming, a bit nostalgic.

My new craft room is lighter and more girly than the rest of the house, with white furniture and a few dusty/adobe pink and sky blue accents.

I am fascinated by the emotional impact of colors as well as black and white, sepia and monotones. I love to experiment with color interactions.

Authors . . .

Jane Austin, Joseph Conrad, Tony Hillerman, Janet Evanovich, Alexander McCall Smith, Stephanie Meyer, Olive Ann Burns . . . I like well-written books with characters I can care about.

Movies . . .

My favorite movies are oldies: Casablanca, Key Largo, Touch of Evil, Russia House, Butch Cassidy & the Sundance Kid, Sweet Home Alabama, Captain Ron, Guns of Navarone.

Music . . .

Eclectic tastes: Country, Jazz, Rhythm & Blues, Classical

Comment: dear lauren thank you for the beautiful zentangles (: as well as the beautiful fairy doll..she sits on my computer amp on my desk (: it was so kind of you to include her as an extra suprise (: i will let u know when i get brave enough to finish her (ill have to think about how im going to decorate her for awhile so i dont mess up) as far as the wedding goes we just did a simple one (trust me i did go nuts in the planning process because we went shopping for about a week straight every single day) swap bot helped me from totally freaking out pretty much ... i havent seen u around yet so welcome to swapbot as well ..alot of us hang out in chat if u wanna come visit sometime im in there often again thanks for everything .. take care <3 Heather
