Hi there! I'm a bachelor of arts, and my major is English translation. I have also started studying Arabic, so languages are close to my heart. My mothertongue is Finnish, but I also speak Swedish and a little German.

I live with my husband, but we have no kids or pets.

I apologise for my terrible hand writing, I will try to take the time to write clearly when I mail to you.

Here are some of my likes and dislikes in no particular order.

Like:

absinthe, jägermeister, art noveau, London, british ciders, maple trees, buttons, autumn, hugs, traveling on a train or on a bus - with a destination or not, pepsi max, hats, fantasy, owls, frogs, cats, underwear, purple, black, red, sandman, comics/graphic novels, 1950's, salt liquerice/salmiakki, CD's, stars, night, postcards, lace, languages, abandoned houses, ribbons, mushrooms, gothic things, roses, tulips, steampunk, spiders, something compeletely different!

Dislike

neon colours, 1980's, pink, cute, hello kitty, moustache, beer, red wine, itchy clothes, leggins, bachelor parties, loud noices, teenagers, valentines day, may day, the usual and normal, stereotypes, tea, candles, tourist stuff, tourist postcards, junk (krääsä in Finnish, mostly dust collectors and other stupid decorations), animal prints, heavy scents - ecspecially vanilla, Halloween - we Finns don't have Halloween.

I usually rate the same day I get the package, unless I'm really sick or come home in the middle of a night and the package has waited on the desk all day, or maybe sometimes all weekend etc. I give hearts for things I like, things that are "extra special" to me. You won't automatically get a heart for sending me a million extras.

Mostly I listen to Finnish rock and heavy metal. Lyrics are important to me, and I pay a lot of attention to them when listening to a new band. From foreign artists my favourites are Nick Cave, Rammstein, Edith Piaf, and occasionally Frank Sinatra.

The Finnish artists and bands that I like include Jarkko Martikainen, Herra Ylppö & Maj Karma, Ismo Alanko and many other great lyricists.

Lately I've become a little lazy on books, I used to devour them when I was a teenager. I like fantasy novels, but also poetry and classics. I like to analyse what I read, so something like Da Vinci Code is quite boring and uninteresting. For the last year I've been slowly but surely reading through some selected works of Virginia Woolf.

As with my books, I like my movies to give me something to think about. I like foreign films, that is to say films that are not necessarily block busters, but still good. My favourite films from my shelf include The Shining, La Môme, Amélie and The Little Shop of Horrors

At the moment, definately Mad Men, True Blood, and also, I have to admit, Next Top Models and Project Runway.

I like British comedy, such as The Monty Python, Black Adder and Black Books.

I also like to watch historical dramas, with adorable costumes and hair-do's.

I like to knit and crochet the most, but I seldom have the inspiration to do anything, since, let's face it, you don't need five pairs of mittens or socks, and neither does your friends or family, ecspecially when most of them are cabable of knitting themselves. I do yarn bombing, so basicly all kinds of yarns are welcome, if it's something I don't like to use to do any "real" things (like mittens, socks, scarves), I use it in yarn bombs. But I still prefere wool and cotton, or mixes, but NO acrylic, NO polyester, NO hairy or bumby yarn, just normal lovely balls please.

I would like to weave, but I don't have the looms here in Helsinki, and I can not spend enough time at my Mum's, where the looms do loom about...

As said, my handwriting is quite... interesting, since I write fast, and that's that. Doing things fast may be seen in other crafts as well, but I'm merely human, not a machine! I can't always cut or draw straight...
