14.01.13. My profile is under construction, so it might take a little while before i get it the way i want it to be

I’m a 35 years old girl, who lives in a small place, where everyone knows pretty much everyone else. That can sometimes be a pain, but then again other times it can okay, because some people like to help out each other whenever that is needed. I live on the western part of Norway, by the coast, and the weather here can be really boring sometimes, rain and rain and umm yeah rain. Well not rain all the time, but at least 60% of the time lol. The great nature we got here, makes up for it though. What’s better than to have sea and mountain view around here? It only take 2 minutes walk down to the sea, and a few minutes walk into the forest or any other nature spots. I prefer the sea over the mountain, and i won’t trade the nature for any city place or anything else.

I’m not a girly girl, meaning i don’t wear make up, jewelry (a very rare time i might wear bracelet, but that is very rare). Also i’m not a fashion type of person, don’t wear skirts or dresses, unless i really have to. I wear what i feel comfortable in, and what I like.

I love animals, well most of them. I really don’t like spiders, mice, rats or snakes, ugh. My favourite animals are cats and dogs. At the moment got 3 cats, well 2 of them are mine and the 3rd one is my parents. Don’t have any dog right now, but hopefully i can have one in the future. I grew up with having cats and dogs. But now the last dog we had was a few years ago, due to the dog was old.

My family is my parents. I love my parents, even though sometimes parents can be a pain, well not excactly a pain, but you know how parents are lol. I don’t know what i would done without my parents. I got one sister, who’s 3 years older than me. She lives with her boyfriend and their daughter. My niece was born in 2010, and is the most adorable niece ever. The only down side about this, is that they live about 9 hours drive away from me and my parents, so we usually don’t see them that often, usually around summer vacation and Christmas time. I hope that they one day, decide to move up here were we live.

I love swapping and penpalling. Been penpalling for about 20 years or so now. And still enjoy this hobby. I prefer writing and reciving long letters (at least 8+ a4 pages or more), but i know it’s not always easy to write long letters every time, depending how well you connect with your penpal, and so on. If you feel like writing letters with me, or doing a private swap, then just pm me. The only downside with this hobby is the postage price keeps rising each year, in most countries. And makes it more difficult to do heavy swaps international, but that usually don’t stop me from swapping or penpalling, unless i’m really broke.

Some of my interests are: writing letters, swapping, collecting things (though i’ve tried to reduce the amount of items i collect, but still sometimes find new items to collect lol), animals (cats and dogs my fave animals), nature, photography (i like taking nature photos, though i should be more active on taking more photos, since i haven’t taken much lately), my family, scrapbooking, computer, internet, watching movies/tv, travelling, etc.

Though i don’t read much, i still love reading books when i get the chance. I prefer reading crime books, however i read some other books if they are interesting. “Granny Dan” and “Poirot” is some of my fave books so far. And my fave authors are: Agatha Christie, Danielle Steel, Margit Sandmo and Stephen King.

I like listening to music, however i don’t listen to that much of music today, as i did a few years ago. So i’m not up to date on any of today top list or that sort of thing lol. Mainly i listen to most pop and country music, however there are other music style i can listen to, and there are some that i don’t like. Some of the artists that i like are: Garth Brooks, Anastacia, Eminem, Shania Twain, Backstreet boys, Timbaland, Faith Hill, Usher, etc. I really don’t like heavy metal, hard rock, opera, jazz, gothic or classic music. But luckily everyone got their own taste and different interests, otherwise the world would been really boring if everyone should like the same thing all the time.

Dvds: I collect them, and the dvds must be in region code 2, as that's the only type my dvd player can play. There's lots of dvds on my wishlist, so wise to check first if i got a certain dvd or not before sending an dvd.

I collect postcards from all over the world, and in standard size of an postcard 4x6 inches (15x10,5 cm). Though i'm what you call an beginner when it comes to scrapbooking, but i love this hobby. Unfortunaelly i live in a small place, so not easy to get a variety of different scrapbooking supplies. I use 12x12 format on the scrapbooking. When sending a package to Norway. It's important to add a custome declaration sticker, and fill it out right. There you tell what is in the package, and it's value. If the value is to high (above 28 us dollars), then i have to pay taxes, if it's not marked properly as a gift.
And if there is no custome declaration, someone will open the package, and sort through it to see if i have to pay for it. As you can imagine this would be no fun.

Also, i got migraine, so please don't send anything with strong smell or scent, as this can trigger my migraine, and i get sick.

If i sometime get an item, that for some reason i don't need or collect, then i will send it to someone else. Don't take this the wrong way, but we all now and then get an item or two that we don't need. And i think it's better to give it a new home, instead of just throw it away. If you for some reason feel like passing on an item you get from me to someone else, that's fine with me. Also when coming to prices, when living in Norway, things costs. So if an item costs for example $2 in one country, it can cost 4-5 timers as much here in Norway.
