I absolutely love Valentines Day, BIKING, walking, tiny envelopes, decorated envelopes, farmer's markets, eating local, Vintage Valentine postcards, gnomes, flowers, humpback whales, reading books about homesteading, biking and chicken raising adventures, the beach, being outside, the color pink, holiday decorations on houses, and anything sweet or Valentine Vintage.

I am the lucky mom of two great kids: 23 year old son and 11 year old gymnast and three 2 month old chickens Bailey, Sami, and Daisy. My flock! I am married to the best man in the world (Actually, this might but up for discussion as he is currently pissing me off! lol) and I went to London and France in July 2010 for the first time in my life! It was amazing :)This summer I am going to ALASKA (July 26) so if you know anything about it, tell me!!! I eat local food as much as I can, I grow organic vegetables and fruit like crazy in my backyard, I grow extra for the food bank and am in the "plant an extra row for the hungry" program. I read the book 12x12 and am enthralled by the idea of living in a small cottage and being as self sufficient as a girl with an iphone and lap top can be! I know I am a "gadget sinner" but I am striving! lol I also want to be the best mom to my kids. I try so hard to do this because time passes by so quickly and I want them to have the best childhood ever and now for my son, the best adulthood ever!

I strive to be "zero garbage" and have really made amazing progress! I am not buying anything new. I have reduced our garbage for a family of 4 to one bag a week! I have not used a store bag in 3 years, I have called and gotten off mailing lists so our junk mail is really low. Of course, I love letters from swap bot and used a lot of disposable diapers over the years with my kids so I am trying to pay it back! :)

Decorated envies, valentines, tiny envelopes, anything pretty and/or cutsie, ATCs and Holiday-themed ATCs. I love the colors pink, blue, and green and making things for the holidays or with Snoopy and Hello Kitty.

Biking...my love! I have an old bike that I decorated with spoke charms, handle streamers, a basket with flowers...well, you get the picture. Second childhood!

I also bought a slick new light weight bike that manages to handle my non-light-weight BUTT! lol

The beach. I need the ocean. I need sun on my face. It makes me happy but I also like walking on a cold night and looking at houses and the life going on inside.

I'm just a simple gal living in a ritzy and stressful area of California. Regardless, I stay true to my hippie nature and eat at home, live simply, and raise chickens to the amazement and sometimes sideways glances of my high faluten friends at my high faluten job! lol

Oh my goodness!

I can't believe that me, the hostess of a swap would be flaked on. lol

The Crimson Tide never sent my Woodland Forest ATC. I have sent a message to all the forest fairies, gnomes, and animals alerting them! haha

Seriously, though...it really stinks to be flaked on!
