General Likes / About Me

I'm 47 y/o female, married, with a Cat and a Standard Dachshund. I live in the USA, on the edge of the Ozarks if that means anything to you :) And several dozen squirrels who live out back and entertain us.

Rennie, Vendor, Crafter, Witch, can't sing worth a hoot but it don't stop me trying, dance beledi, practicing massage therapy, yoga, Yang form Tai Chi, BPALlerina, more!

Colors are Jewel-tones, blue, teal, and violet predominating.

Ears are pierced, but have nickel sensitivity.

General likes -- bead stuff (esp "e" / size 6 beads)(no plastic/acrylic or tiny seed beads, please), tiny bottles and jars and boxes, books, blank books, notebooks, handmade papers, recycled paper, hemp paper, little pewter charms (or brass, or plated, or...), journals, Moleskine Cahiers, natural fibers, dip pens, rollerballs, gel pens, recycled paper, brads, origami paper; natural fabric like silk, cotton or linen; Scrabble tiles, old foreign coins (fake is fine), miscellaneous puzzle pieces, Tarot decks that happen to be missing a few cards.

I like Chocolate! Esp. Dove or Cadbury's...and "real" black licorice (Panda brand or similar -- not Switzer's), Trolli Gummi Worms, and Bit O' Honey. Candy and such won't go to waste, however -- if it's something not to my taste, there's plenty of people to share it with :)

Halloween is my favorite holiday!

DragonCon, VisionCon, White Hart Renaissance Faire, OKRF, KCRF.

Favorite Music

Emerald Rose, Tullamore, Queen's Gambit, Tartanic, Sonic Sidhe Tribe, Ofra Haza, Alexander James Adams, Heather Alexander, Leslie Fish, The Brobdingnagian Bards, TMBG, The Bedlam Bards, Billy Idol, The Who, Queen, Rolling Stones, BeeGees, (original) Kiss, Celtic Thunder.

Favorite Television

Dexter, CSI, NCIS, Mythbusters, Numb3rs, Ghost Whisperer, House, Criminal Minds.

Favorite Books

FAR from a complete list, but here's a start:

Stranger in a Strange Land, the Callahan yarns, Anita Blake, Merry Gentry, Kay Scarpetta, the Miles Vorkosigan tales.

Authors include Heinlein, Asimov, Spider Robinson.

Favorite Crafts

I make jewelry, glycerin soaps, candles, and dream pillows.
I used to embroider (and still like the idea) but was doing so much fine handwork at the job it was no longer fun. Hmm, may be getting back into that now!

Dislikes

Actually, it's probably easier to list the few things I don't like -- so here goes! (And keep in mind I'm not saying anyone else shouldn't like them; this is just MY thing.)

Diaper-wearing/cutesy Angels
Precious Moments stuff
Bertha Hummel-type stuff
Harlequin-type books
Plastic/Acrylic beads
Rayon/Polyester/etc fabric
Poison Ivy!
Most TV shows -- I'm really not into TV at all, except the few shows listed above.
Hello Kitty / Kawaii
Banana flavor
Flat-out allergic to tobacco smoke
Nickel Sensitivity
Floral scents
Mineral/Petroleum oil-based skin care

Eeee!!! Yay! Thank you so much for sending me Bookcrossing labels! And the post-its for the outside of the books are soooo super neat! I didn't really think that wish would be granted, so I'm extra extra grateful. Now to destash some book and release them in the "wild." :o)
