I was so excited to hear about swap-bot from a good friend of mine. I LOVE receiving and sending mail, especially unique notes and care packages to and from friends and family. Although I am a newbie, I respect serious commitment to swaps. In fact, impromtu swaps with friends and family is something I do on a regular basis! My background is in textile design and I am a knitter, quilter, weaver, and beginning spinner. My "real job" is in a stained glass studio where I do color selecting and restoration. I love to read and am a major foodie. I make gourmet ice cream and love visiting different artisinal ice cream and gelato shops. The Time Traveler's Wife, food writing by Ruth Reichl, Wicked, Harry Potter, BUST Magazine...I love to read but my main problem is that I don't always retain details. I can love a book, finish it, move on to another, and forget many details about it. I don't get bored with re-reading!
