About Me

I was so excited to hear about swap-bot from a good friend of mine. I LOVE receiving and sending mail, especially unique notes and care packages to and from friends and family. Although I am a newbie, I respect serious commitment to swaps. In fact, impromtu swaps with friends and family is something I do on a regular basis! My background is in textile design and I am a knitter, quilter, weaver, and beginning spinner. My "real job" is in a stained glass studio where I do color selecting and restoration. I love to read and am a major foodie. I make gourmet ice cream and love visiting different artisinal ice cream and gelato shops. My boyfriend and I enjoy hiking and we love to travel, especially road trips. I am a major LOST and 30 Rock fan. Stay tuned for more...

Favorite Books

The Time Traveler's Wife, food writing by Ruth Reichl, Wicked, Harry Potter, BUST Magazine...I love to read but my main problem is that I don't always retain details. I can love a book, finish it, move on to another, and forget many details about it. I don't get bored with re-reading!

Comment: I never thought to look & see if we were partnered up for this swap so your PC was totally unexpected! I LOVE GS too! BTW GS are tres cool, I was one for FIVE years myself! Thanks for the card!
Response: My best friend from childhood and I were GS for many years after it was cool, and she's having a baby in July. We don't know what it is yet, but if it's a girl, I'd really like to get some of that fabulous modern GS fabric and make the little one a quilt!
