Favorite Crafts

I love photography and crafting with paper. I just started making and sending my own postcards. I taught myself to crochet a few years ago but haven't been doing much lately. I also participate in Postcrossing and after I collect enough cards, I want to bind them into a book.

Favorite Television

I don't watch much TV. My favorites are House, Monk, the Daily Show, the Colbert Report.

Favorite Books

Anything in print. I read every chance I can get.

Swap preferences

I'd prefer handmade cards. If a card tells me something about you it is more interesting. Tourist postcards are ok if you don't make your own. I'd love to see the postage stamps your country is issuing. I love vintage postcards, old books, and other old ephemera. I try to use vintage paper in my swap items as much as possible. I collected stamps as a kid and I'm still fascinated by them although I'm not a collector. I often include them on my postcards. I'm happy with whatever you send me and will be kind in my ratings. However, I do not want any religious items.

About Me

I'm 40-something, married with two kids, both boys. My oldest is currently applying to colleges. I'm a doctor and scientist.
I participated in NaNoWriMo for the past two years so have two unfinished novels (YA) to my name. I love to travel and do so every chance I get. I speak French fluently although I don't get much chance to do so. I dream of going back to Paris often. I also enjoy hiking, walking on the beach, wilderness and mountain areas.

Response: You are very welcome. I'm glad you liked everything. I love picking out the stamps for the envelopes too. So few people use real stamps anymore.

Response: Yes things were hurting a bit there. The economy was so bad they were furloughing teachers (kids weren't having school on Fridays). Made my hotel affordable but still. Mahalo to you too.

Response: I like the Pomegranate cards too. I try to find a variety of cards which is always a challenge. But it makes the game more fun.
