Hello everyone! Isn't this is such a FUN place?!!

First a few things...

I will NEVER intentionally "flake" on a swap/forum tag - if you have not gotten anything from me, PLEASE let me know BEFORE rating!( cause I likely forgot about it or thought I had sent it....I admit to not being the most organized person!!) But I am constantly trying to improve on my life - I believe it should be an ONGOING process to try and better yourself!!

I believe COMMUNICATION between swappers is very important, so if for some reason you are not happy with the swap PLEASE lets talk about it...BEFORE rating!!

Also...one other thing... I am all about recycling- so..I probably will use wrappings that have been used before. but I promise I will NOT use anything dirty/smelly etc. I like to get creative and use magazine pages, fabric, etc....

A little bit about me....I am a stay at home crafting mom. I live in the country on 40 acres, and luv anything to do with vintage fashion, fabric, sewing, crochet, beads, buttons and sewing books. I am a magazineaholic! I especially luv sewing magazines, fashion magazines and VINTAGE women's magazines! I have 2 NAKED creatures -( a sphynx cat and a chinese crested dog) in the home and one tiny teacup poodle. I have been told that I am naive and very very gullible and but that is just my "makeup". I see things through "rose colored glasses" Aren't we all supposed to see the good in everything? I try to apply this concept to all avenues of my life. Everyone/everything has FABULOUS potential. Right now, I am at a point in my life where I can devote a lot of my attention to designing/creating. Sewing and crocheting are 2 big passions of mine, BUT, I DO NOT sew like my dear mama taught me!! Reconstruction/upcycling is my game. My idea of a great fabric store is NOT the JoAnnes or Hobby Lobby, but the thrift stores!! The potential "fabric" that can be "had" there is amazing!! When I look at a particular clothing item I try to imagine all the possible "other lifes" it has.......could I use the buttons on a skirt I have at home in the works just waiting for that perfect embellishment?... or maybe I could cut the sleeves off and open them up and make a "twirly" skirt!!... Or is it that , I just absolutely HAVE to have that item of "clothing-fabric" cause I LUV it for some reason or another. I have LOTS of "clothing-fabric" that falls under that category!! I used to think my mama was CRAZY when she had boxes and boxes of "real" fabric that she had bought in the past thinking she would make something out of it someday.......Well, I have discovered that you can NEVER have too many someday projects!! In that respect I HAVE turned into my mother!!

When I get involved in creating a piece I get so caught up in the excitement of "how will this turn out?" Most of the time I never know exactly how a piece will turn out 'cause I change my mind so much....What ever strikes my fancy at the time goes into a pile on the cutting table and I start mixing things up and go from there. It is such fun for me to "hole up" down in my sewing room and not come out till I have several pieces made!!

paper crafts such as: chunky books, journals,mixed media collage, atc's etc My very favorite way to make handcrafted journals are to use recycled mixed papers!

I know that most of the old vintage magazines smell like BASEMENT, but that does NOT matter to me at all!!!)

I luv street style/vintage/thrift style fashion. The majority of my clothes originate from thrift stores, then I reconstruct and make them ME! I love handmade jewelry the BIGGER AND CHUNKIER the better!!

I am a mother to 4 kiddos! 2 boys and 2 girls. ages ranging from: 17,14,12,11 My d.h. and I have been married for 22 years. We dated for 5 yrs before we got married so all total we have been together for over half our lives!

please DO NOT worry that I may not like that you would send me OLD stuff - I really LUV ALL THE OLD STUFF...I am not hard to plese at all, my husband used to get upset with me cause I always told him to shop for me at secondhand stores!! He has finally realized that that is truly what makes me happy!LOL
