I live with my husband of twenty years and our twin, 14 year old, daughters in a small, close-knit community outside of Detroit. We are currently doubling the square footage of our Sears Kit House and living through all that a major renovation project entails. Currently, our spunky, jumpy Wheaton Terrier, Dreamer, is our only pet.
I am a sales person by profession. I have sold franchises, bookstores, personnel and architectural services. My husband is an architect and I do the marketing and graphics for his firm. At heart, I am an artist.
Travel is a big part of our lives. I have spent time in Mexico, India, Nepal and Tibet and explored much of Europe. …and often, I hear the call of the road here in the United States. Known as road warriors, my girls and I frequently drive off on cross-country adventures.
I love the beach, the woods and the mountains. I am inspired by urban environments. I enjoy museums and galleries and public art. At family events, I’m in charge of pretty. I love planning themed parties, setting up buffets, and celebrations of all kinds.

I also love live theater and performance.

I don't watch much TV. I love HDTV as background in the kitchen.

I enjoy needle work of many kinds… no knitting though. Needle felting, felt, quilting, appliqué, embroidery.... I love acrylic paint, water colors, inks, glitter, wire, sequins, beads, BEADS and more BEADS! I adore MOSAICS and picassiette. Pathways, floors, pieces of furniture. And paper… altered books, assemblages, collage, journals, scrap, dolls…. Fimo …rubber stamps …punches … I am eager to trade Christmas Ornaments, ATC’s, art dolls, ornies, inchies, pysansky….

I live for holidays and celebrations... Valentine’s Day, Mardi Gras, Earth Day, Easter, 4th of July, Halloween Thanksgiving Christmas New Year’s Eve, Birthdays, Anniversaries, Tuesdays …any excuse for a party.

I love the planning, the inviting, the decorating, the baking, the cooking….

I love presents and party favors.

I am always charmed by thank you notes.

I collect craft books and love craft magazines from other countries.

I love old linen kitchen towels and grandma’s cast off embroidered pillow cases.

I’m a thrift store prowler and an antique store haunter, the first to line up for an estate sale and my car automatically breaks for garage sales.

I celebrate the discovery of old ornate silver and silverplate flatware and serving pieces.

I collect small, handmade toys from around the world.

I love tin toys, wooden finger-ma-gigs and beach pails.

My favortite artists include Kilmpt, Gaudi and Calder. Monet and Miro.

I also like kitch. Celluloid ornaments, old rhinestone jewelry, old party favors.

Orange is my favorite color. I love brown and pink together, brown and teal, too. At home, I surround myself with a great deal of soft green.

I wear lots of black, although there is usually a loud shot of surprise color somewhere. My house is sunny yellow.

Camo, blood and guts… the violent.

Anything cartoonish… anime, kawaii, Disney.

I not fond of stuff that is overly cutsie, frou-frou or commercial.

Make-up, lip glosses …lotions and potions. My skin is rather sensitive, so I have to be careful.

Herbal and fruity teas… really I’m a devoted coffee girl.

I don’t eat hard candy or chew gum.
