After going back and forth, I've decided to take a break from hosting flat rate box cram swaps for awhile. There have been too many disagreements amongst swappers about what meets swap requirements for them and I've received boxes full of garbage several times myself.. so I KNOW what a box full of garbage is like and I have never sent one. Maybe once these issues are solved it'll be back.

I am a graduate of a private liberal arts college and a loner, Dottie, a rebel. I've done many things in my life and I'm currently in transition. Many consider me a hippie. I am also, apparently, a connoisseur of cat hair. Someone in one of my swaps even once PMed me asking if I'd like to swap our cats' hair! I shit you not. (I declined.)

I hate to admit it but I really do like gothic stuff, retro stuff like shirts with video games and 80s characters (think Hot Topic or Spencer's), skulls, and I'd love a bracelet with spikes. I'm really not a goth but this is a guilty pleasure of mine :)

Also, I'd love moodrings.. and other jewelery, especially handmade.

Take my age into consideration when you prepare a swap for me. Also note that I do not have children. I just like vintage crap which can include "kids characters" of yore. (But please, if you send me something from the prehistoric age, I ask that it be in good condition.) People find me calming. I like calm and items that reflect calm.

Except for socks. I like loud, noisy, weird, funky socks. Toe socks are even better. Rainbow socks are the best. One can never have too many pairs of rainbow socks.

I also like cats (obviously), and items from your part of the world I can't get just anywhere... I've adored Eeyore since I was small. My shoe size is 10 and in terms of t-shirts, I am a medium to large. I like nice journals, blank books, Faeries, Froud, Labyrinth, Unicorns. Suns, Moons, Stars themed celestial items. Tin lunchboxes! (preferably vintage-- esp. care bears, strawberry shortcake, Fraggle Rock...)

Please note that despite all of this, I am actually coming to have an antipathy for the muppets (kermit, etc) and would be interested in swapping some of my muppet stuff to someone who might appreciate it. I suppose I always kind of did, but I used to be the kind of person who enjoyed stuff I found creepy like horror flicks. No more.

I enjoy anything (esp. books) with a new age, self-help, mystical or spiritual bent (even though half the time I think it's all BS). Tarot decks are always so beyond welcome. :) Crystals are, too. I love rare items, vintage items, unique items, and handmade items. I like books and other things with lesbian characters.

I'm touched by things made for me.

I like thrift stores.

If anyone has any Rocky Horror memorabilia, I'd love some.

I've been wanting to buy stuff from tinythingsarecute.com but I haven't so feel free to do that for a swap for me if it moves you. I like charms and nice boxes/cigar boxes.

VEGETARIAN COOKBOOKS, RECIPES, MAGAZINES

I'd like Mix CDs with indie and female artists. Any rock CDs you feel like parting withwould also be more than welcome. DVDs of movies I might enjoy. I'd like Meditation CDs.. as long as they're not Belleruth Nap&suck.

I like video games. I recently snagged a sega genesis, but it hasn't found its way to my TV yet. So for now, I just have a sega game gear and I have Sonic 1, 2, Triple Trouble, Chaos, Spinball, Labyrinth and Pacman. And now I have Batman thanks to simindy. But if you have any games besides those, feel free to send them on over.

DISLIKES-- unless a swap description specifically calls for it, i'd prefer not to receive food items. I also tend to not enjoy dollar store items, Disney items (excluding Eeyore), or DOG items. The craft store has always been one of my favorite places to shop however what I need in terms of crafts is limited- I don't sew. Right now I don't scrapbook. I'm about to get back into making soap and other things however I'm not quite there yet. Basically I'm not doing much crafty at the moment. Also, i don't need earrings and I am put off by items that smell heavily of smoke.
