I am happily married and have been for six years now. I have five children that I call mine even though I am not their biological mom, no not adopted, one is a stepdaughter and the other four are my best friend's children, all of whom I have helped raise their entire lives. They range in age from 4-13, three boys and two girls. I also watch my 2 year old nephew and his soon-to-be born brother every weekend. We have a dog, Sherman, who is a mixed terrier mutt and definitely one of the family. He is spoiled, knows it and loves every minute of it. We also have 2 black cats who are identical twins and we cannot tell them apart anymore so they do not have individual names LOL! I recently got my BA in Liberal Studies and will be working on my teaching credential in early education special ed starting in January. I work at a special education preschool in the autistic classroom, I absolutely LOVE every minute of my job! We live in Southern California and I have been here my entire life and while I long to move somewhere else, I know this is where I will stay.

My favorite band of all time is the Voodoo Glow Skulls, from right here in my hometown of Riverside (www.myspace.com/voodooglowskulls). I enjoy all kinds of music, the majority being ska, punk, reggae, metal, swing, and alternative. The other bands I have an affinity for are 30 Seconds to Mars, System of a Down/Serj Tankian, Mumford and Sons, The Doors, and Skindred.

I am obsessed with all True Crime novels. My favorite book is Helter Skelter. Recently, I have read and adored: Dexter (all four in the series) by Jeff Lindsay, the Shadow Children series by Margaret Haddix, and the Southern Vampire series by Charlaine Harris and that was all in the last two weeks pretty much! I enjoy Shakespeare and Poe as well, just started reading H.P. Lovecraft and am starting to devour his words as well!

DEXTER, OZ, The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency, United States of Tara, CSI (the original, not any of the spinoffs), True Blood, and The Big Bang Theory. I don't get too much time to sit down and enjoy t.v. but I do TiVo these shows and watch when I can!

I love sewing, gluing things together, decoupaging, painting, stenciling, glass etching, melting and shrinking things, and learning new craft skills as I can!

Jeff Dunham is the funniest guy on this planet. I never thought I would have been head over heels for a comedian let alone a ventriloquist but he is superb. He gives his puppets amazing personalities and it is hard not to refer to them as real breathing people. He is a truly amazing artist!

Lauren is my daughter and is such a joy. She is 12 years old. Her favorite colors are blue/green/turquoise. She loves monkeys and dolphins. Her passion is all things art. She is obsessed with Degrassi, Samantha Munro and Munro Chambers. Her favorite movies are Unstoppable, Titanic, Paranormal Activity 1-3, Akeelah and the Bee and The Wizard of Oz. Favorite TV shows are Degrassi, The Lying Game, Melissa and Joey, Switched at Birth, and Shake it Up. She is a self-taught actress and will be attending drama classes in the summer. Chef salad is now her favorite meal replacing the long-running dish of spaghetti. Favorite holiday is Christmas. She loves all animals and has a special place in her heart for them. She is a straight-A student and already has plans for college (UCLA) and a future career (entertainment lawyer).
