OK, now about me.... My name is Gena and I have been an artist for as long as I can remember...just ask my parents. In School while growing up, I took many art classes and even graduated from a 4 year vocational school for graphic and advertising design back in 1987. I had plan on having a career in graphic arts, but lets say "things change" and for the best I must say.

I am originally from Jacksonville, FL now living here in McDonough, GA, brought here due to a Military move with my hubby in 2001. Great town..not to big..not too small. I am married to my high school sweetheart for 22 years now this June '09 and have two wonderful kids that sometimes "don't get me"...LOL My Son Is the Air Force and my husband is is finally retired from the Army after 22 years being a EOD tech(bomb squad) to now go be a police officer! YIKES!! :) And my daughter is in her SR year in high school and wanting to follow her brothers foot steps and join the Airforce. Not sure how I feel about that. My son is currently deployed to the middle east and I hate it.

I like ANY art, however lately I have a more funky, whimsical flare and you know what, it makes me smile and I noticed it brought a smile to others that see it so this has been my inspiration..to make you smile!

I love to paint, and to craft things. I just recently started working at Hobby Lobby...LOL really can you say the perfect job for an artist/crafter!

It brings me great joy to share my love of vibrant, colorful, whimsical art with others.

I also sell my art from time to time on ebay and my art can be found all over the US and in Canada and now the UK!

Currently I am working on all sorts of stuff and my own website. I sell alot of my art at craft shows and on ebay and ETSY. Well I am a BIG 80's Music girl. LOL I really like all music except for country. Not a big fan of the twanggy country music..funny being from the south huh? Love Depeche Mode!!

oh I love TV. I like to watch NCIS, Big Love, LOVE-True Blood, the secret life of a american teenager (my daughter got me onto this one),Burn Notice,Army wives (although not even close to real army wives HA),LOVE-the tudors,weeds,24, Nurse Jackie, Vampire Diaries( another one my daughter got me hooked on), flash forward oh the list can go on and on. yes, I watch alot of tv thank goodness for DVR heehee

I love making all sorts of crafts! Most the Swaps I join or create is dealing with something you have to draw. The people I have to send to I really try my best to send LoVe with my swaps so when I get a heart it is extra special to me and shows me that you really loved your item :) but if no heart no worries.. I have fun making my creations heehee

I love Halloween and Christmas crafts as these are my top sellers at shows and my friends are always asking me to make them something during this time frame which keep me busy

I am big into FOLK ART, WHIMSY, pRiMiTiVe kind of paintings that I do or the ACEO's or ATC that I make.

New to making Inchies. Oh these are addicting..still trying to figure out what to do with them though.

I really have fun in all my creations and I like it when they make me smile cause then I know it will make you smile when you get it. At least I hope

OK, I guess I need to list some things that I like to help with some of the swaps I do. (heehee)

Well I love anything whimiscal as they are generally colorful. I am always doing ACEO/ATC so anything to help with those is great i.e stickers, or cards, cutouts, vintage clip art, even blank ACEO cards, Blank Inchies as I am new to this art format.

I love animals so anything with kitties or puppies.

I have a red and white husky and a gray hybrid malumute that are my babies. I also have 2 kitties and a cockatoo name Nitro-cause he is destructive..LOL

I like collage art of all kinds.

like vampire but not twilight-more like the mean type :)

I do scrapbook, although lately I have been crafting and my scrapbooking is on hold but I need to make one as a gift for a dear old friend to suprise her. It will be of her visits so any stickers about friendship, vacation, travel could be used :)

I use all sorts of mediums.. acrylics, colored pencils, markers, ink paint pens...can not have enough of those around!

I love cat and dog buttons and cloth cut outs with animals on them!

I am a big primitive ornie maker so I use alot of muslin and cheese cloth. Any type of plain white material will do really. And stuffing!

LOVE anything Halloween or Christmas- Holiday stickers

I like buttons that are shaped like something..not the plain round ones.

I like ribbon... that is checked..like red and white or black and white..as long as it is checked..I know sounds crazy heehee

I am pretty easy to please really. I like everything and try to make use of everything in some type of craft project. :)~~

I make candles in the fall so wax, or wax embeds, wicks etc. are nice

I like all colors..Don't really have one fav. color. As an artist it is hard to pick just one as they all can be made into pretty items!

I am a huge GATORS fan! Love GATORS football!! so maybe that should be my fav. colors Orange and blue..LOL

I DO NOT like kawaii items (sorry) I love whimsical but not hello kitty or kawaii.

Candy... I like all really so what I do not like is those gummy kind eeewwwwww.
