i am 45 years old, train special educators at a university, and love to make jewelry, shrinky dink crafts, scrapbooking crafts, and altered art. i like making things and giving them to friends, colleagues, and visitors to the university where i work. i live with and love my 4 dogs and 1 cat, and would spend my life rescuing animals if i had the time, money, and land. i love trying new ways to make jewelry with old beads, charms, and broken pieces. i also love to make altered art using scrapbooking ideas and techniques. i would like to branch out into fabric as way to use my love of beading and scrapping in new and unique artsy ways. my favorite colors right now are pinks and purples for personal accessorizing, and burgundy, black, and plum for home decorating.

i am a former punk girl (maybe would have been goth at the time) . . . i love the old techno music, like erasure and depeche mode, but have recently gotten into snow patrol, blue october, nickelback, and gomez . . . i like all kinds of music from classical to bluegrass to punk, depending on the mood of the day . . .

gosford park, french kiss, home for the holidays, the harry potter movies, anything with johnny depp (pirates of the caribbean!), mysteries - but not horror . . .

ncis, numb3rs, lost, gilmore girls, starter wife, original csi, original law & order . . .

anything with vintage looking papers; anything with beads and glitter; altered photos; i like to sew, and have just started learning how to knit (it is very calming and relaxing for me); i also like to color other people's pencil drawings with watercolour pencils

i love dark colors for the most part (midnight blue, black, dark grey, burgundy, forest green), but would not be upset by anything pink -- don't like pastels or light colors . . . i am also really into glitter, chrystals, and "bling" on bags, purses, jewelry, and accessories . . . when i was growing up, i was always attracted to the things that sparkled, and have never really outgrown that!

i love tootsie rolls, tootsie pops, life savors, butterscotch, and any chocolate/caramel combination, but am allergic to peanut products of any kind . .

i have collected stamps, giraffes, tiggers, and refrigerator magnets (from places i have travelled) in the past, but am really getting into vintage jewelry, postcards, and really groovy stationary (both sending and receiving) . . .

i like patchouli, curry, marjoram (and similar) smells, but chamomile and really sweet smells really makes me nauseous

i also have to admit that i am a bit of an office supply junkie . . . . i love colored gel pens, pencils, funky tape, colored staples, any kind of fun and funky papers, and mini office supplies!
