Can you tell I'm into Aliens/Monsters right now?

I like to knit and crochet. I also like to make items out of felt. Nothing that takes a rocket scientist.
I am open to private swaps - please PM me.
I moved from the Boston area a little over a year ago and now live in Las Vegas. My husband and I love it here. No more snow! I am a military brat and veteran, so I have lived in quite a few places, here in the USA and outside the continental US. I enjoy traveling and sightseeing. I have no grandchildren or children -so please keep that in mind when you are picking stuff for me. I have no use for items that a child would like.

I guess my favorite color is all shades of pink but I really like all colors. I have never seen a color I didn't like. Color related items should be senders choice.
chapstick/lip balm - stick form
Shiny rick rack - an unopened package. For my international partners who may not know what rick rack is, I have a picture of it in Flickr.
ribbon - shiny or non shiny, decorated or plain. I love 1/2" wide ribbon. I can't do much with a 12" length of ribbon..
stuffies or softies
Look at my Flickr and you will see what kind of "babies" I like.
Hello Kitty "kitty" knitted, crochet or felt/fabric.
amigurumi - not mini's.
Knit, crochet or felt/fabric MONSTERS
trolls or gnomes
clay figurines - turtle
yarn - solid or variagated. I love yarn!
googly eyes - any size
sparkly pom poms - any size
blank note cards - I use one on every swap I send out.
Long dangly earrings
Cute stuff - just not the type that is child specific.
Anything I would go "Ohhhh" to when I open it up.
Girly stuff - as long as it's not child specific.
If it is not on my "things I don't like" list, I am open to a new experience.
INTERNATIONAL SWAPPERS
I would love something relating to the country you live in.
Fabric
Food or receipes
tea
stickers
erasers
pencils
fb's
anything that has to do with scrapbooking - paper, brads, etc.
shot glasses
ornaments
magnets
key chains
origami
clay - an unmolded piece
anything jewelry or jewelry related - except for long dangly earrings
Any jewelry findings
beads or crystals
ATC's
Post cards
dotee dolls
journals
playing cards
matchbox's
paper ornaments of any kind - please no paper ornaments!
anything for children - please send adult items - I have no children to give stuff away to.
stamps - the type you use with ink pads
postage stamps
Please don't send me unfinished items. My first swap (coin purse) was sent to me not completed. What kind of gift is that?
October 2009 - I just received another unfinished coin purse - do people really think we are going to use them like that? Unbelievable!

I would like to tactfully explain what my expectations are. We all have a right to expectations - right? When I do a swap, I make or buy items that I would love to receive myself. I read the profile and try to make or buy something that they will like. I do that because that's me. I try to make or buy items that my Mom would like (if she did crafts). If you get my name, I am asking that you show some effort. I got some truly horrid stuff in the beginning - I became more selective in my choice of swaps and things have greatly improved. My expectations still stand, of course, but I am deeply grateful that I am now swapping with partners that take ownership in what they send out. Part of this was my fault - I used to state "surprise me" and boy was I surprised, but not in a good way. Thanks to all the great partners out there. You have made this worthwhile for me.

I don't want to be angeled on flakes. Why should someone else take up the slack for a slacker. These are people that have no integrity or they would have made arrangements. Don't come back with some sob story, I always PM and wait for a reasonable length of time (international partners).

Aren't these gross? They're supposed to be gross because that's what people that screw others over are, a gross slug.
