i like foriegn films especially mexican, asian, indian, and canadian. prefer indie films. hate pop-culture stuff especially romantic comedies. i can be sucked in by the occasional thriller.

mostly non-fiction stuff about religion, spirituality, politics, the goddess. lately been reading about food and the politics of eating. also some fiction - margaret atwood, barbara kingsolver, doris lessing, toni morrison, zora neale hurston...

Favorite Music

eclectic... cocteau twins, dead can dance, patti smith group, siouxie and the banshees, afro-celt sound system, abbey lincoln, yoyo ma, regina carter, janis joplin, pretenders, sade, cassandra wilson, deep forest, talking heads, angelique kidjo, roy orbison, and all things hawaiian...
