I always send out my swaps on time. If you have not received something from me please let me know!

What I Pledged
I always try to rate swaps as soon as I receive them. If I have not rated your swap and you think I should have received it please send me a message.
I'm a mom of one boy (9 years old).
I have become overly dependent on spell check. Please ignore any blatant misspellings in my profile or forum posts. :)
I'm not easily offended and I don't mind receiving odd and off-the-wall things. I love handmade things that aren't mainstream. I'm open to all religions, but I am not a part of any organized religion.
My favorite colors are dark orange, black and grey. I also like shades of green, moss and olive mostly. You know those ugly colors from the 70's? I love those colors. :) I'm not fond of pink or pastels, but I do like those colors mixed with dark brown. I LOVE polka dots and circle prints, especially black and white.
I'm from New Orleans, so if you want to do a private swap of something from here let me know.
Try to learn to breathe deeply, really to taste food when you eat, and when you sleep really to sleep. Try as much as possible to be wholly alive with all your might, and when you laugh, laugh like hell. And when you get angry, get good and angry. Try to be alive. You will be dead soon enough. ~ William Saroyan
STATE QUARTERS THAT I NEED:
(Let me know if you can do a private trade for any of these!) Thank you to everyone who has helped me with my collection! I really appreciate it!
2008:
* Arizona (P) and (D)
* Alaska (P) and (D)
* Hawaii (P) and (D)
I love altered art! I like things that are fun, quirky, unusual and unexpected. I love recycled and junk art. Handmade things mean so much more to me than store bought stuff.
Things I like to make:
*Altered Bottlecaps
*Shrines
*ATCs
*Whimsy Jars
*Art dolls
*Stuffies
*Polymer clay thingys
*Cards, tags and other paper projects
I want to start making Dotee dolls and altered domino necklaces.
Blind Box Toys!!! (thanks to paintedbooklady for my first ones!). I'd be happy to take any duplicate or unwanted toys off of your hands. ;)
A stuffie, amigurumi, or something made by you. I love handmade things! I now have 2 Dotee dolls and I would love more!
Anything goddess related.
Crafty supplies: brads, plain and shaped eyelets, textured cardstock, nice ribbon, shaped buttons, glue dots, charms, small sharp scissors, interesting fabrics, rub-on letters, glass beads, eye pins
Fine glitter in any color or glitter glue in a bottle with a very fine tip
Nightmare Before Christmas (anything; we collect pins)
Clear Stamps (especially alphabets, brackets or circles - used is fine)
Felt (especially black, white, browns, pastels or earth tones - basically anything except primary colors). Small pieces are fine too.
Embroidery floss and needles. Black and white are always useful!
Paper! I'm a paper junkie. I love small books of patterned paper (6X6 or 8x8) but I'll take any size. I love the new designs by K&Compnay, and I'm a big fan of 7 Gypsies and Basic Grey. I really like the grungy, collage type papers.
Any rubber stamps that are not too cutesy. I prefer things like postage stamps, asian things, brackets, journal boxes etc. I don't really have a use for flowers, butterflies, and stuff like that.
Dragonflies (especially simple asian styles)
Cell phone charms (for my mom, she collects them)
Stamp Pads (stazOn, versamark, Distress Ink, pigment inks in any color)
UTEE or Diamond Glaze
Archival Quality Pens (black or other dark colors)
Sakura Gelly Roll Pens or other Sakura pens
Fleur-de-lis stuff (I have more than a mild obsession!)
Items for Entertaining (interesting cocktails picks, napkin rings, cool cloth napkins, etc.)
Sushi and Japanese Culture
Re-ment sets or sushi erasers
Old School Nintendo Stuff (love the little one-up mushroom)
Anything from Daiso or any other Japanese Dollar Store (or sites like jbox.com)
Legos
Mushroom stuff
Weird looking monkeys (would love some paper or fabric)
Unique things from other countries or stores like World Market
Unique colors of seed beads for making bottlecaps. I really like the metallic ones and the opaque ones. I also like those small tube shaped beads (not sure what they are called).
I could really use some round magnets or thin sheets of magent that can be cut easily.
Decent paint brushes (they don't need to be top quality, but good enough to not have the bristles fall out)
Cute little things to put inside of matchboxes (any theme is ok) and empty matchboxes
Pucca
Tote bags with cool graphic patterns or polka dots - handmade would be great!
Letter size envelopes with cool patterns
Skulls and skeletons (but not really pirate stuff). We have a collection of hand carved wooden skeletons from Mexico.
Day of the Dead
Decent stationery or note cards (please don't send me flimsy stuff that won't hold up in the mail)
Wooden prayer beads
Postcard books or non-touristy blank postcards. VIntage would be awesome.
Reusable shopping totes (Something from a local store would be cool).
Wooden thread spools
Green Tea Pocky. I can get most flavors on a rotating basis from my local Asian market, but they never have green tea.
Bento stuff (plastic food dividers, bento boxes, bento bags, anything!). I have enough plain sauce bottles, but I'd be happy to have other kinds. I'm really trying to find some stuff for older boys or men.
Quotes - I enjoy interesting, thought provoking quotes. I would love for you to include your favorite quote in my swap, but please don't send me those preprinted quote stickers, etc. Those are just too generic.
I hate to list things that I don't like because I love to see what kind of interesting things people pick out for me. The following "dislikes" are just guidelines. If you find something that you think I will like even though it is listed below go ahead and send it. If I can't use it I will make sure that it finds a good home! :)
I'm not that picky, and I'm sure that I will like most things that are thoughtfully selected. I don't like cute stuff. I do like some Kawaii, but mostly the food characters.
Some things that I would rather not receive are: anything with a heavy fragrance added (especially floral scents. I do like verbena and citrus a lot), hair accessories, girly stuff, Disney (except Nightmare Before Christmas), Hello Kitty, yarn, nail polish, mint flavored candy, tea or baby items. I don't like country style, Mary Engelbright or anything like that.
It probably wouldn't be a good idea to send me anything that can melt in the summer since I live in a very hot and humid climate.
Things that I have an abundance of and really don't need:
Please don't send me things that you wouldn't be happy to receive (things that are dirty or torn). I try very hard to send things that I think my partner will love, and I would appreciate the same in return.
Current artist list on my iPod (adding more as I get time):
A Perfect Circle, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Beck, The Cure, Faith No More, Green Day, The Killers, Ministry, My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult, NIN, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Rage Agaist the Machine, Rihanna, Siouxsie & the Banshees, Smashing Pumpkins, Stone Temple Pilots, System of a Down, Velvet Revolver, White Zombie
For kid swaps:
My son is 9 years old. He would play Wii 24/7 if I let him, but he does have other interests! He LOVES to get mail. He wears a child's size L or XL for shirts (he wears them big).
He likes:
DS Pens!! He loses them all the time.
Bouncy balls
Mechanical Pencils (especially the kind with a twist up eraser)
Legos, Magnetix, and Bionicle
Anything that he can build
Science, planets, bugs, rocks
Books (4th or 5th grade level)
Anything with Mario (or related characters) on it
Red and white mushroom stuff
Kawaii Mushrooms and Kawaii Pandas (he'll like anything that's not too girly; strange is good)
Sonic
Bath Fizzies, bath salt, those little gel filled balls, or fun soap
Lucky Poo (Yes, he's strange!)
Anything with Nightmare before Christmas on it
Little animals carved from wood or stone
Sakura Jelly Roll Pens
Books of Mazes
Activity books for older kids
Candy (nothing gummy). Loves pocky and Korean mushroom candies.
Gum - Juicy Fruit is a favorite
Bottle caps from local/unique drinks
Handmade stuffies (the stranger the better). He really wants a red and white mushroom.
Little Pinball games
He loves pistachios and peanuts in the shell.
Used things in good condition are fine also. He is thrilled when I bring home a bag of random Lego pieces or a bag of tennis balls from the thrift store.
No stickers please! He doesn't like them, so please save them for someone that will use them. The only exception would be Bionicle or Mario stickers.
He doesn't really like things with Disney or cartoon characters (except the things listed above).
Comments
I love the random envie. Erin is thrilled with her HSM stickers and we are all thrilled with the Avatar ones (Momo is so cute) I love the stamps and papers and wow to the socks.
