i'm a midwestern girl in my twenties from a town just outside of chicago. i've been dating my boyfriend for almost nine years and we have a son...an English bulldog named George :) I also have 2 cats who come in and out of my room periodically to either love me/snub me, so please note if you're allergic!

i only sign up for swaps that i'm really interested in...therefore, i do not flake! seriously, i really don't. if you haven't received something from me, please pm me and i will be more than happy to re-send. i've been flaked on quite a bit already so i know how disappointing it is not to receive a swap you're looking forward to...

here's a little list of my real soft spots:

-my two new purses...lol. i just splurged and bought myself a black kooba purse and a cognac-colored treesje purse. i'm-so-in-love!

-georgie, my english bulldog

-high-end makeup, especially lorac, stila, and cargo

-fashion...i'm a junkie. i read tons of fashion mags, follow fashion websites, and study celebrities' fashion religiously...i especially love the styles of nicole richie, sienna miller, kate moss, leighton meester, and rachel bilson

-traveling...my boyfriend and i try to make 2 trips every year...we love seeing new places. this past summer, we went to paradise island, bahamas. it was so amazing...

i love 90s alternative like incubus, 311, everclear, staind, and weezer, but i'm also a sucker for girly pop like britney, lady gaga, BEP, and rihanna. i also have no shame about this. i dance and sing and it's really embarrassing for my friends when we're out...

i know i'm in my twenties, but i LOVE the twilight series. i also really enjoyed the forest of hands and teeth by carrie ryan...it was so beautifully written i wanted to cry. also, i love david sedaris...funniest memoirs...even people who don't normally read non-fiction would enjoy him because his style is so easy to read. it's like he's a good friend just telling you about all the random things that have happened in his life.

addicted to cable tv series: dexter, weeds, mad men, big love, and true blood

also: project runway and top chef, but i don't have as much access to these so they tend to be on the backburner

i'm a big horror movie fan even though i can't sleep for days after i see one. i'm a sucker for romance (funny or serious). i love how to lose a guy in 10 days; love, actually; and sweet home alabama. other movies i could watch again and again: fargo, adventureland, penelope, la confidential, the usual suspects, and baby mama.

-stickers (no teacher/student/praise stickers, please)...i especially love stickers of animals, puffy/fuzzy stickers, scratch and sniff

-kawaii anything

-notepads/journals/stationery (i especially love sticky pads, mini journals, and letter sets with matching envelopes.

-school supplies...totally obsessed with them. i love pens (although i find blue pens offensive...i have no idea why), markers, colored index cards, mini folders, etc.

-movies you're sick of...especially rom-coms, horrors, and tv series

-gel pens and metallic pens...especially medium point. i'm not a big fan of fine point pens or markers, but i'll take anything :)

-written-in postcards (i like when people send postcards with a little trivia about the place represented...that's very cool)

-atcs...i really like almost anything except digitally printed things (i'm sorry, it doesn't really feel authentic to me, although i'm sure you've put much creativity in it...), religious, or atcs with stickers just stuck on them.

-amigurumi!!! (i'm DYING for one of these!)

-coins/currency from other countries

-unused postage stamps (especially in weird increments like .10, .3, etc.

-homemade friendship bracelets (the kind that is just knotted or braided...no charms or anything like that)

-bulldog-related things (English bulldogs only...they're the best ones...haha)

-cat stuff (I also have 2 cats who love treats and those little catnip toys)

-Chicago White Sox or Chicago Bears memorabilia

-elephant or owl related stuff (i also love pandas and koalas)

-cosmetics, beauty products, or bath products (i'm extremely picky/sensitive...i really would only like nail polish in nutty colors (neon or super dark) or blistex lip balm, but anything else would probably be wasted)

-homemade jewelry (i'm allergic to most metals that they sell at craft stores)

-recipes (i'm a really bad cook)

-teas/coffees/hot cocoa

-religious anything...i went to catholic school for 12 years...that was enough, trust me

-fabric...i don't know how to sew so the scraps i get sent are usually re-gifted or wasted

-used postage stamps

-lazily put together envelopes...i only sign up for swaps i really want to be in so it's pretty disappointing when someone just sticks a couple of pieces of paper in an envelope and sends it off. i honestly put a lot of thought and care into my swaps, so i really hope you will, too :)
