i like to paint, write, listen to music, drink coffee, watch movies or tv series (i adore stand-up comedy!) on dvd, go to clubs, spend time with my boyfriend & my son. i am not into politics, and rarely watch the news. i'm very "live & let live" as far as my views on what is right & wrong. i have six mice, they're the perfect pet for me. most of all, i'm an artist.

my likes & dislikes section is just to give a little insight into the types of things i'm generally interested in. i'll be happy with whatever you send as i'm not too particular, these notes are just to provide a starting place!

i will try any medium once! i love watercolors more than anything, but i also enjoy (to varying degrees): acrylic mediums & texturing, cards, jewelry, glass art, collage, charcoal drawings, etc. i LOVE getting art supplies from countries outside the USA - my favourite so far are my watercolors from switzerland.

STYLES: i like modern, abstract, conceptual, anime, hand drawn, line art, minimalist, impressionistic, collage, advertisements, some vintage in small amounts, gritty textures, etc.

i do not like victorian, humourous art, americana, anything "cute", woodwork, leatherwork, knitting, quilting, embroidery, sewing patterns, cross stitch, hairbows, dolls/teddybears, angels, animal print items, faeries, birds, plastic canvas, felt, stuffed things (animals, plushies), disney, etc.

COLOURS: blues & greens & browns. i like muted colours, dark colours, bold colours. i'm not a fan of primary & secondary (blue green red) but i do enjoy small bits of the bright flashy colours like hot pink, orange, etc.

ARTISTS: salvador dali, jackson pollock, vincent van gogh, william blake

MOVIES: psych thrillers, anything with mark ruffalo or jude law, ghost world, girl interrupted, anything with john cusack, romy & michelle's high school reunion, anything with ryan philippe, save the last dance, primer, sweet november, dead poets society. hackers, boondock saints. i can't wait to see "antichrist".

MUSIC: TOOL, a perfect circle, bt, the echoing green, elton john, breaking benjamin, eminem, concrete blonde, matchbox20, progressive trance & deep house (+mostly anything electronic), tori amos, david bowie, leiahdorus, moby, johann sebastian bach, mozart, enigma, the prodigy, godsmack, disturbed, michael knott, hydro.

my favourite song in the entire world is turquoise (relentless bass mix) by circulation, my 2nd fave is parabol by TOOL.

BOOKS: catcher in the rye, silence of the lambs, jim carroll, wheel of time, ee cummings, jack kerouac, house of leaves, high fidelity, william sleator

TELEVISION: not big on tv, but do enjoy: friends, weeds, jericho, heroes, & grey's anatomy. i also really enjoy some stand-up comedians like eddie izzard, dane cook, & my new love - daniel tosh.

KAWAII: i love kawaii anything!!! i'm not picky! my favourite are the san-x sabo kappa, food with faces (realistic or drawn), & the tofu (i don't know their names!)

SCENTS & FLAVOURS: scents: anything berry, fruit, citrus (especially orange), anything ocean or water, lavender & lilac, mint, NOTHING musky (it'll make me sneeze!). flavours: strawberry, orange, grape, spice, pomegranate - not big on coconut or watermelon.

HOLIDAY: i LOVE valentines day. i used to work in an art & craft supply store, and i really enjoyed seeing all the red, pink & purple stuff, especially the glittery things! i really enjoy everything about this holiday!!

STUFF: i drink coffee, but only starbucks. i can never get any of the others to taste the way i'd like them to! i drink black tea, & some herbal tea. no green tea. i love chai.

i love office supplies like pens, pencils, cute clips, and especially POST-IT NOTES.

i love bags & purses. i collect them, even. anything unusual or funky (prefer more retro or modern, less vintage or cute), anything tiny, anything with lots of pockets. i love small containers & boxes too, metal tins (i have some san-x & some solid colored metal ones that i like. not big on the cookie tins & bigger things like that.)

i love bath products like soaps, salts, body gel, handmade or unique (please, no glycerin - it's SO pretty but it makes me SO itchy!!!), & i love brands like LUSH, urban decay, hard candy, sephora, philosophy, bath & body works, burts bees. i'm dying to try a "sugar scrub" - they look & sound so delicious.

i love GLITTER, SPARKLES & CONFETTI!!! i like eyeshadows in interesting colors. i don't really wear anything else on my face except black eyeliner & eyeshadow, mascara too (see picture above!). but no foundation, no blush, no heavily colored lipsticks (sheer colour is fine).

i love jelly beans, black licorice, dark chocolate & gummi bears!

i'm totally into kawaii & spend way too much money on it. i'm always looking for more though - it's like a drug to me right now! i love san-x's sabo kappa, i love the tofu, & i love food with faces (drawn or realistic!!). i love EVERYTHING kawaii tho & would love to swap some with you!! i'm really wishing for deco tape right now - i have none!

i like magazines like zink & juxtapoz, metro.pop & elle, some of the somerset publications, tho in small doses.

the only jewelry i wear is bracelets; either the very chunky & wild kind, or the dangly swishy kind! :)

i collect odds & ends of things that i can use for assemblage/collage pieces. odd bits of papers, wire, metals, glass, rusty things, gemstone stickers, eyelets, labels, tags, keys, gears & motors, electronic parts, circuit boards, etc.

in addition to all the "loves" above, i would enjoy swapping kawaii, mix cds, dichroic glass, journals (blank or filled), chunky bracelets, postcards, handmade artwork (any size, ATC up to 8x10 canvas/panels), microscope slides, small 3d art, notepads, bath & body products (handmade or store-bought), interesting or unique papers or other art supplies, assemblage bits, glass beads, sead beads, tea, pens (altered or unique), coasters, soap (handmade or interesting), mints, gum, small bags or pouches, vintage ephemera, or things with themes listed under "miscellaneous" below, etc.

i would adore something from or inspired by my etsy favorites!

i probably wouldn't like to receive any incense or anything vanilla scented (no candles, especially; i'm allergic), recipes, bookmarks, origami paper, stuffed dolls/animals, knitted/crocheted items unless it's a scarf.

MISCELLANEOUS: i enjoy art, paint, sushi, music, djs (especially headphone/turntables), computers, web geekery, absolut vodka ads, high fashion ads, old & abandoned buildings, autumn, stars, roads, polaroids of anything, black eyeliner, glitter, djs & remixes, lomography & photography, confetti, gardens, glowsticks, some poetry (but nothing that rhymes!), fireworks, people who are passionate & openminded, rain, road trips, scarves, sharpies, sketchbooks, starbucks, thunderstorms, glade strawberries & cream candles, neon signs, sunflowers, tetris, valentine's day, wire wrapping...
