36-year-old artist living in RI with my husband and 2 sons - Jackson, almost 3 and Quin, just over a year. Currently I am writing some children's books. Wish me luck in getting them published!

I like to try interesting teas from around the world; I love to read books on artists, especially women artists; I have a problem with purchasing art supplies - I can't get enough of them - paintbrushes, paints, papers, markers, pens, pencils, ribbons, ephemera, etc. I especially have a problem with markers and pens. I'm on a perpetual search for fine-tipped pens for my sketching (in all colors).

I have had a life-long weakness for elephants. Especially tiny ones. Recently, because of one of the books I'm writing, I also like crabs.

I've got two art journals going for my boys. Kind of like scrapbooks but with my own artwork in them instead of storebought stuff. I'm always looking for interesting little things to glue in there, color with, etc.

I love handmade stuff, especially stuffies, sculpture, ATCs, really anything uniquely you. I like connecting with other artistic people and learning about your techniques, inspiration, outlets.

Seriously dislike anything cutesy, especially Hello Kitty, as well as anything religious.

Slumdog Millionaire, Something's Gotta Give, Waitress, Amelie

All time fave: Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Nothing will ever compare. Also enjoy House, Ghost Hunters, The Office, Family Guy

My sons' art journals, the books I'm writing/illustrating (watercolor paintings), ATCs, and I've just discovered needle felting, which is really fun! I get a real kick out of making stuff for other people, either through swapping or random droppings, like The Toy Society (www.thetoysociety.blogspot.com).
