I sew, therefore I am. Okay, not quite. I've been sewing since a was a little girl for the simple reason that my mom made all of my clothes. I also love to read. I don't really collect anything any more, unless you count fabric and notions. Then yes, I collect like crazy.

Favorite Types of Fabric

My favorite types of fabric are: 100% cotton (it really king); linen; linen/cotton blends; denim; cotton knits; cottons with lycra for stretch, cotton jersey. I also love the 4-way stretch knits. I adore vintage fabrics. I also love to work with and wear poly crepes and double crepes, silk, silk blends, chiffon (silk and poly); georgettes (silk & poly) and wool crepe. Strangely enough, I am allergic to almost all wools, except cashmere and wool crepe.

Wish List

Solid color fabrics, especially broadcloth, linen, linen/cotton or linen/rayon blends, crepes, double-crepes, cotton knits and jerseys, cording foot for my sewing machine.

I can always use: Thread, vintage metal zippers, vintage buttons, any kind of trims, elastic...basically any sewing notion, sewing books and magazines.

I currently love to make

purses, totes, handbags, children's clothing

Response: I'm glad that she likes her blanket. I had a dog growing up that carried a blanket around. She started out with a bedspread, but finally got one her own size.
