HELLO EVERYBODY! From November 24 till December 15, I'll be taking a break from swapping for a vacation, woo-hoo! Anything current will be sent before the 24th. I'll probably check in while I'm gone, but no new swaps till middle of December. SEE YOU THEN!

I'm a New Orleanian biding my time in Dallas, seamster, crafter, artist, and re-make lover; I share my apartment with my lucky black cat, Pnut; and I think the internet is the best thing since sliced bread.

I have done dressmaking and alterations for a living for years; for fun I like to do quilting, I just made my first art quilt recently. I love all crafts, mostly I love to make stuff out of what's on hand, and I'm lucky that people give me a lot of materials. I take apart jewelry, clothing, and anything else that stands still to see what I can change it into!

I love The Office, TrueBlood, My Name is Earl, The Big Bang Theory, Project Runway and Top Chef, Intervention, John and Kate Plus Eight (now I just feel sorry for those adorable kids), The Fashion Show, The Soup, Rachel Maddow and Keith Olberman, and more....I watch too much tv!

Sci Fi: John Varley, Peter Hamilton, Heinlein, and many more. Also crafting books. Currently can't find a book I want to read more than I want to make something.

I love anything handmade, or old. Even before Katrina, I had nothing old; for some reason my mother never saved anything, including family photos. Once I found an appointment card for one of my vaccinations with one of my Grandma's recipes on the back that I treasured!

I love any kind of fabric, and I love solids currently. I was gifted with a lot of fabric from friends at an online quilting site after Katrina, but I still have few solid fabrics. Any kind of trim tickles me, bits and pieces are great. I want to start making art journals and altered books, and I'd love to have fibers to use.

I collect chickens and roosters, heart shaped rocks, anything from another area of the US or another country, glass bottles, and landscape photographs. I love sardines, anything pickled, olives of every kind, chocolate iin every form, coffee (especially chicory or very stout kinds), Obama, paper and packaging, pens, pencils, markers, and any unique or weird thing you might imagine someone couldn't possibly want!

Religious articles meant to convert me, mean people, critical people who are not polite (comes under mean people, now that I think of it), girly-girly things, pink unless it's with another color, Twilight, pop singers, Republicans, licorice, miso soup, fabrics with printed on quilt patterns, gum and that's about it for now....

If you haven't gotten something from me, please send me an e-mail or message, because I always send, albeit late a few times. I have health issues that sometimes prevent me from mailing when I plan to; I ALWAYS do send, though. 98% of the time I send a message off as soon as I see I'll be late; if you're expecting a package, feel free to send me a question. And I always rate, so if I haven't rated you, it's an oversite, and I'd appreciate a heads-up!
