Comment: Thank you so much for the wonderful PC :)! I enjoyed reading your tiny, but beautiful handwriting and about the Ladybird-books. They are my favourites too and especially the beautiful illustrations, so you made a perfect choice with this Puss-in-Boots-card, love it!
Comment: Oooh what a dark tale! I love this behind the scenes fairytale.... isn't it interesting how history and tales go as they one that tells then wants them to go?! Very well written, I like how you keep a bit of mystery in it, it makes you think!
Comment: I think this is a fun, sweet story. I understand what you mean about the wish fulfillment, but I think it works here! It would be great if you could fill it out a bit, let us know more about Bo's feelings, and maybe a few more lines about Dr Hasek. Bo must have a hard time, with her parents being so adamant against her being a girl! There's a deeper identity-layer in this story that could be explored wonderfully :D The peephole is nice too...the different reasons maybe why father and son looked.
Comment: Thank you for the beautiful card! Love the quote also. I have the His Dark Materials trilogy ready to be read...maybe I should start today! :D
Response: Thank you and you're so welcome, I'm glad you liked them! You absolutely definitely should read His Dark Materials... particularly because the first book is especially good for winter, lots of snow and ice. I also recommend his Sally Lockhart series (of four), very different but equally good, and they get better and better as the series goes on :)
Comment: Oooooh I love this so much! What a well written, funny piece! The dialogue flows so naturally and it never feels stilted. I also laughed at the "pottery classes", well I laughed at about every sentence...:D I love the ending, great conclusion, very smart! Thank you so much for sharing this! It was extra amusing to me, because in the story I wrote for this prompt, I had a good 'ole Western former outlaw lady chasing the townswomen away on the day of a baking competition...LOL. I got my degree because I love story so much, I love words and books and writing and reading and I wanted to understand more so I could enjoy story more :D The Writers's Well is taking a holiday break in December but we'll be back in January and I'll be sure to host another Writing Prompt swap!
Response: Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm so glad you enjoyed the piece, I have to admit I really fell in love with that pair of character. My only sadness is that I don't get to read about your baking competition, sounds like lots of fun! I've signed up to the next swap... maybe you'll be sending to me this time :D
