I like music, crafts, and making people laugh when they're trying to drink water. I like drinking tea, writing in journals, and acting artsy in general. I also like hanging out in book stores and reading until they kick me out for not buying anything.
I like Modest Mouse, Jens Lekman, and lots of other stuff like that, which is to say indie and/or european. I also like a lot of electronical types, like CFTPA. I am a DJ on my college radio station, so I'm happily surrounded by Indie music.
I like books by Sara Manning, Sarah Dessen and Han Nolan. My favorite book is The Hunchback of Notre Dame by Victor Hugo. I also like books about vampires and magic, although I HATE the Twilight series. I also love older 20th century authors like Aldous Huxley, JD Salinger, and John Steinbeck.
So many, I love foreign films, and I'm always watching IFC, and I also like random dramas and comedies and pretty much any Tarantino movie.
I watch Degrassi, ANTM, the OC, I Love Lucy, and Bravo's many reality shows; my favorite is Project Runway.
Paper crafts! I love rubber stamps, although I'm very bad at finding places to store them. I'm working on learning to sew and knit, but it's been slow going since I'm in college without a lot of time or money, especially because I have been spending a lot on postage lately :)
I love globe trotting, even though I haven't gone too many places yet, mostly because I'm either at college or trying to make money to keep going to college. My favorite destination thus far was Japan a few summers ago it was so much fun and I want to go back so very badly. I love getting postcards from random places and/or with cool pictures.
I speak very (very) rudimentary French, which I learned over three semesters so far. I am currently working on translating Balzac into English (my BIG summer project) and am planning to take more classes in French over my senior year of college with the hopes of grabbing a flight to Paris shortly after graduation and being able to survive/talk to people. Wish me luck!
Ever since watching the movie Factory Girl a few months ago I've become obsessed with everything Edie Sedgwick, Andy Worhol, The VU, Nico, and anyone/everyone else connected to them, especially Edie. I adore her.
