In my previous life I majored in English, went to law school, & was a lawyer who represented children who had been abused &/or neglected; most of my clients were in foster care.

Now, I'm a stay-at-home mom to two sons, born in October 2007 & October 2009. I'm a proud breastfeeding, cloth diapering mommy.

I love sewing & making children's items for my son, as gifts, for swaps, & for my Etsy shop.

I love to sew, especially children's items. I also dabble in crochet & embroidery, but just a teeny bit.

Serial killers & true crime. I know, it's weird. I'm trying to tone it down now with a baby in the house (hmm.. I wonder if me watching all the Dexter dvds while I breastfed him psychologically scarred him for life???)

Oh, it's been so long since I've had time to read.. I love love love Oh, The Places You'll Go and pretty much any Dr. Seuss book. I love Oliver Sacks & Stephen King books & true crime books.

I love:

** I'd really love to receive a whimsy jar (never seen one in real life!), but I'm not into papercrafting or anything so I'd love a sewing whimsy jar or something like that! :)

• handmade soap (preferably no patchouli scent!)

• the color orange

• anything Dr. Seuss related or sort of Seussish

• handmade items (upcycled items too!)

• recipes, especially for the crock pot, for smoothies, or for kid-friendly food

• anything for my 2-year-old son. He loves Blues Clues, the alphabet & numbers, animals, and books. He wears a 24 month shirts & 18 month pants.

• anything for my new baby, born in October 2009. It's a boy!

• bento boxes or bento accessories

• fabric - anything interesting, especially modern or children's prints. Scraps are fine too.

• knee high socks, especially striped or cool patterns.

• interesting or unusual reusable shopping bags or totes

• reusable sandwich wraps or snack pouches

• fun lunch/food items - squiggly straws, fun shaped sandwich cutters, popsicle molds, cookie cutters, etc.

• felt food

• candy/food - I love red licorice (Red Vines or Twizzlers), Mike & Ike's, caramel, & most candy that isn't sour or tropical flavors. I love anything salty! I love soup mixes (not veggie). I try to avoid artificial sweeteners (anything "diet") while I'm pregnant & nursing. Chocolate is good, but I don't like dark or white chocolate. I don't eat nuts!

• the smell of patchouli, vanilla, & cigarette smoke!

• I don't wear jewelery, except sometimes ankle bracelets in the summer.

• I also don't wear makeup.

• I've got tons of bath/body products that I never have time to use, so I don't need any of those.

• I have tons of pin cushions & nowhere to put them! They're cute, but please don't send me more!
