[HELP] I don't know who sent me this!

About Me

Updated November 2010: I will be away from SwapBot for a few months, possibly til February or March. But I will be back for sure.

P.O. Box 7-1150
La Uruca, San José
Costa Rica

I'm a 24 years old girl, from Costa Rica (Yes, I speak Spanish). I'm very open-minded and liberal. Currently on college (Psychology Major). I'm very interested in getting to know intimate aspects about other people, and other cultures. I'm open to private swaps, so if you'd like us to exchange small traits of our countries and our personal experiences, please message me!

I wrote down some of my preferences here for anyone who needs ideas, this should help you know if I will especially like something. Please don't feel I'm picky just because of my detailed profile, once again, this is just meant to help. I enjoy a lot reading my swaps partners profiles, but if you don't you could skip mine, but please read the list of things not to send me. All the lists are in alphabetic order, meaning I like everything on there equally. Except the colors list, I have real preferences in that, but the only one I dislike is white (unless it's mixed with other colors, especially with black, yay!).

I adore anything cute, girly, artsy, handmade, cultural, nerdy, practical, funny (not easily offended at all), landscapes, nature, animals, food related in any way, and especially random/unique/quirky items and things I couldn't find in my own country (surprise me!). I also care a lot for small details when giving and receiving :)

Tag Games

This helps me keep everything organized and thank people when I receive. Mail takes time to arrive in both ways and I could forget where things came from.
I remove the ones that have already been received on either side.

I'm waiting to receive:

  • Nothing, right now :)

I thought I'd make a special section about Postcards, because I just love them! Store bought or handmade are both great. Even better if you can send them naked, stamped, and written; but if it's better for you to use an envelope, then it's ok. I like all kinds of cards, but these ones I love:

  • The weirdest less common postcards the best
  • All and any animal (especially cute baby ones, or scary/weird ones)
  • Very colorful cards
  • Drawing/cartoons
  • Jokes/funny ones
  • Recipes/food
  • Great/famous views from your city/country/town
  • Symbols, flags, etc.
  • Nice handmade ones
  • Interesting ad ones (I LOVE Boomerang cards)

Anyway, I can't get offended by anything that is on a postcard, wether it's a joke, a religious or political statement, etc. Postcards help me collect the world around me, and that includes things I might disagree with. I'd also love to have some erotic postcards, but that's not something common to see :(

Things I appreciate:

  • You writing the date you send the postcard
  • Anything you want to share with me (about you, the postcard, quotes, or anything else)
  • Nice stamps
  • Any kind of decoration if you want: stickers, drawings, colors, etc.

Some of my Hobbies are

  • Collecting items (mainly postcards)
  • Cooking and Baking
  • Photography
  • Reading
  • Traveling
  • Writing

I'd love to learn origami ^_^

I Collect

  • Coins and bills
  • Postcards *(This is my main collection)

  • Car accesories (I drive a light pink car)
  • Cardstock
  • Crayola products (or similar crafty things)
  • Cute things with a face (kawaii style)
  • Drawings
  • Earrings (weird materials like wood, acrylics, shells, etc are the best)
  • Envelopes (especially with cute designs or homemade, but I'd love any kind and size, even plain white ones!)
  • Ephemera
  • Food containers
  • Food themed items
  • Greeting cards of any occasion (directed to me or blank to use)

  • 100 Grand Chocolate bars
  • Chewy cookies
  • Decotape
  • Stickers/Stationery/Postcards/etc. with text (About friendship, quotes, love, jokes, etc.), or 3D, or anything special (we just get the regular stickers)

Also I'll probably be very happy if you send me something else I can't get in here either :-) I've received things I didn't even know they existed! :D

Please Don't Send / Be Careful

  • Cigarette smoke, dust, patchouli/strong smells, and cat hair (just be as careful as you can about it, but please don't get stressed)

Hey Shirley

In the serach box you need to put iheartsnailmail all as one and then it should pop up. Get back to me if it doesn't work :)

seussscat on Mar 16, 2010:

Hey Shirley

Yes it has been quiet however Kirsty has just handed it over to me so I am just trying to see who is active and get some swaps going again. Would love to have you back in the group

Welcome back, Shirley. I know that sometimes "living la vida loca" isn't just a line from a song, so I hope all is better in your world now. Just wanted to drop a line to say hi, and welcome back, and oh! I am also a psychology student =)

LINDA50 on Apr 24, 2009:

Shirley, I love the notecard (letter) and stickers you sent to me. It certainly did cheer up my day. You are almost at 300 hearts! And almost 500 5's!
