Tooi

Hello! You can call me Tooi (with a long 'oh'). I'm 21 years old and live in the USA. I'm currently in college going for a dual major in Accounting and Business. It is extremely boring. I have a twin sister, and together we venture into the crafting unknown. =P I've just started getting into the steampunk style, which is awesome. It's just so cool and classic and out there. Eventually I'd like to make myself a few steampunk costumes.

I love to read pretty much anything science fiction or fantasy. I don't read much nonfiction. =/

A few examples of books I've enjoyed: Watership Down by Richard Adams, Harry Potter series, Tears of Artamon series by Sarah Ash, The Dark is Rising Sequence by Susan Cooper, The Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini, and many more. =p

I also read manga (Japanese comic books). I'm currently reading: DNAngel, Bleach, Naruto, Tsukihime, Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles, XXXholic, and Fullmetal Alchemist. I always love finding a good manga! NO HENTAI!

I like pretty much all things crafty. I dabble in a lot of different mediums and love to try new stuff.

I mostly mess around with making jewelry at it's most basic level. I don't solder, so sometimes I am forced to make due with what I can. (glue, anyone?) I'm not so great with wire wrapping. I mostly work with chain, tigertail, and a variety of beads. I have way too much jewelry making materials. To see some of what I make, head on over to my deviantart account. Other than that, I have a basic understanding of sewing machines; I've made a quilt, some handbags, and a couple of costumes for Halloween (and my pitiful attempts at cosplaying).

I make cards occassionally, too. Rubber stamping and cardstock for the win! And I'm learning how to quill, which is a lot of fun. :D

If I see something, I can usually figure out a way to reproduce it in some manner (read: malformed and misshapen).

I also really want to try and do a scrapbook page-esque shadow box. I have a lot of scrapbook paper, so it's really more a matter of picking the paper and some nice embellishments.

I listen to a wide variety of music and will give almost anything a chance. I like rock, classic rock, classical, movie soundtracks, some lighter metal, pop-punk, a little j-rock, etc.

Some bands I like: Relient K, Eyeshine, Linkin Park (I'll update this when I look through my CDs)

Again with the scifi and fantasy! XD But I also like action and adventure. I will watch horror, but it's not really my first pick. I like comedies, but not the really stupid ones that use dumb jokes and vulgarity in place of actual humor. I'll watch romances, but they're not top on my list.

Some movies I like: Star Wars, Shaun of the Dead, Underworld, Equilibrium (I'll update with more later)

I love scifi! But you already know that by now. Farscape and Stargate are definitely up towards the top of my favorites. I was also really into LOST a while ago, but I haven't been able to watch it in a while. The original CSI is always worth a watch. Bones and House are also good. =D I'm liking 'Fringe' on FOX, too! =D

Then on the other end of the spectrum, I enjoy a good anime now and again. (ex: Fate/Stay Night, Tsukihime, Fullmetal Alchemist, Last Exile, etc) NO HENTAI!!

I like most any color, but blues, reds, and purples a smidgen more than others. =D

Video games! =D Tales of Symphonia, Tales of the Abyss, pretty much any Final Fantasy game, Kingdom Hearts I and II, Harvest Moon (is too addicting...); pretty much any RPG.

As far as jewelry goes, I mostly wear earrings. I have three piercings in the 'normal' part of my ears and one in the upper cartilage of my right ear (a 'helix' piercing), for a total of 7 extra holes in my head! =p I prefer silver to gold. I would so wear earrings linked together by chain... XD It's an odder style, but still cool when done correctly. Earcuffs are also amazingly cool.
