I am a SAHM in Washington. We have two little girls, a second grader and a almost 3 year old, so it gets interesting around here.
I love purple & am from Texas, hence the name I chose. It is so far my name most everywhere.

I watch all the CSI type shows, anything that has a mystery or who done it type feel to the show.
NCIS, Bones, Eleventh Hour, CSI, CSI:Miami, CSI:NY & I am a Survivor addict now too.
However, when it is not prime time TV - I am always on Food Network, Discovery or History.

I am a quilter, and I also crochet.
In the past I have tried cross stitch, needle point and various other crafts, but those two are the ones I have stuck with.
The quilting is coming in handy with the chilly nights here in Washington.
I have been painting glass ornaments for my own and my family's trees for several years.
I also am requested to do crocheted dishcloths for most of the family every year.
I think I just got myself hooked on amigurumi.

Received a knit book for christmas - am TRYING to learn now.

I love to read.
James Patterson, Patricia Cornwell, Michael Crighton, Anne Rice, Charlaine Harris, Laurell K Hamilton... I have a WIDE range of tastes in my books.
I am looking forward to starting Kathy Reichs series soon.
Just finished the second Twilight book.

• I like almost all crafty things.
• I love lizards, turtles & Pocket Dragons.
• I collect keychains & small (under 2ft) windchimes.
• I am a big candle person. I like most calmer scents when it comes to candles, or things that REALLY smell like baked goods. Like a good pumpkin pie or cinnamon roll.
• I like Vanilla & Coconut scented things, and if I can find something that has those to scents combined - ALL THE BETTER!
• I love Happy Bunny.
• I welcome homemade Christmas ornaments year round. There has not yet ever been a theme to our tree.
• I love to cook, use my crock pot year round and have a husband who also likes to cook (and BAKE) so recipes are always fun too.
• I have at times considered myself a pen hoarder. I love all the pen, pencils, markers, highlighters. I can get lost on that isle in the office store for hours.
• I am a bumper sticker person, but they never seem to end up on my car. (I rationalize that we will be getting a new car soon... well we were supposed to be.)
• I have collected pin back buttons since around age 11. I participated in "Hands Across America" and still have the button from it.

• I do not like anything Licorice, be it flavored or scented. I tried Ouzo ONCE - never again.
• I do not like coffee in any form. No mocha flavored chocolate, espresso cake, anything with even a hint of coffee is lost on me.

OK - I keep seeing them, so I figured it was time to add one:

• earring findings for stitch markers
• Amigurumi patterns (especially ones you have created)
• cotton yarn
• Fabric scraps at least 2.5" square (working on EPP hexagon charm style quilt - not true charm as there are repeats)
• Hot Chocolate (as long as it has no coffee flavor)
• Purple fabric scraps at least 3" square (working on an all purple, totally scrappy quilt)
• Happy Bunny things
• Unique key chains

Eldest was born in 2002
She is into all the girly things, like Barbie, Strawberry Shortcake, Littlest Pet Shop & Polly Pocket. Her favorite colors are (in order) Yellow, Pink & Purple, and they are usually expressed as one word all run together just in that order.

Baby was born in 2007
She is into just about everything & has recently discovered she likes to color. She has trucks and dolls, because we did not want to gender bias either of the kids.

Big Sister still sometimes takes toys back from Little Sister, cause she "knows" they were hers first. So they play with the Little People together.
They also both play with age appropriate legos. I think Mega Blocks is the real brand name of the ones we have.

We do not do any Dora, or Bratz at our house... and NO BARNEY! My daughter has given back toys with these characters... or kept them in their box & donated them at Christmas to the toy drive.

NEED TO UPDATE TOTALLY - THIS IS PROBABLY ALL WRONG NOW.
