I am a multi-media artist who resides in Eastern Ontario with her partner, young daughter, and her two misbehavin mini daschunds(Bratwurst and Kafka). Thinking of changing Bratwurst's name to the Great Houndini, can't keep him in the yard and its totally fenced. A Personal Motto: Art is meant to be part of everyday life.
If anyone ever receives a PC from me damaged could you please PM me so I know that it may be necessary to alter that design feature for any future PC's. Dealing with the various postal services is sometimes a challenge and there is a definite learning curve. Anyways my inquiring mind would like to know when something doesn't quite survive the trip. I will still agonize each time I receive something that has arrived less then perfect whether to mention it. I usually read their profile when I am trying to decide so I thought I would put in mine "Please let me know" Thanks
I am sorry to say that while I was archiving some swaps I just had to hand out a bunch of 1's it seems lately there is a rash of partially suspended swappers that I was expecting something from. It seems people get carried away and sign up for way to many swaps for them to handle. Thankfully I have received some great things lately also, so the good is still outweighing the bad but just.
Will never give up my LP's. Now I just need to learn how to use my new turntable which allows me to download to the computer. My tastes vary greatly but can be lumped into Alternative. Depends on my mood, some days it is Linkin Park, Tool, others Ben Harper, or some good acid jazz.
Been reading just about everything lately. If it has the written word it will probably be read by me or at least quickly accessed for its future potential.
I like jewel tones and metallics and of course black. Otherwise most earth tones, absolutely no pastels.
I have a thing for bats and spiders. Always have and probably always will. A fondness. Like all Edward Gorey things, Tim Burton, Vertigo Comics, Roman Dirge. Textural items, probably goes back to my Fabric Arts background.
Children's books in German, French or Spanish. I wish to teach my daughter German, my husband wants to teach her French and I would like to learn some Spanish and teach her some also.
Let's see. HHHMMMM. Well I do embroidery, beadwork, crazypatch, basically anything involving fabric. I also do a variety of altered art and mixed media. Like to combine things like mirror, metal, fabric, paper basically anything that strikes my fancy at the time. It comes down to the fact that I like to play around with techniques and mediums.
Lately I have been watching series downloaded from the computer more then regular TV. That is unless I have given in to my daughter and let her watch some Teev. Then I try to catch up on my emails etc so I guess I am not really watching TV.
Please don't send anything scented or in the cosmetic line(allergies). I only drink herbal teas and I adore coffee.
Trying to get some pieces done for an exhibit I have scheduled for March 2009. So I shall have to be more selective about what I sign up for as I use swaps as procrastination tools at times. I admit it I have a problem focusing.
