I just wanted to take a moment to THANK all of you who take the time to rate your partners. It is so very important for so many reasons...it is one of the things that makes Swap-bot work. For those of you who don't rate, or who don't let your partner know what's going on...SHAME ON YOU! I am married, native Texan, 2 grown children, one grandchild. Love my crafts. 50 something yrs. old. Spend my time working on my projects. I like most colors and color combinations, I am surprised by what turns out when you don't put limits on your projects. I am a doll maker & collector. I had a ceramic & porcelain doll studio for 25 years, closed it 7 yrs. ago for health reasons and so I could work on my crafts instead of teaching and fixing projects for others. I also crochet, paint, and I am learning wire jewelry making. Tried mosaics but found it to be too much of a mess, so I took the glass tiles and started melting them in my kiln. Very interesting, now I need to see what I can do with that. I really like to experiment.

I started taking a class to learn to be a tax preparer at my husband's suggestion. Found out I liked it. Will start to work in January,(slow down on swap-bot) be fired on April 15th (pick back up on swap-bot). I can also be found on E-bay at Joannas7181 and Joanna's OOAK Crafts. Tax season is over! Now on to crafting!

Don't really care for movies, don't want to sit there while I could be crafting. When I watch with my husband, I am usually crafting, so I miss part of the action, and I know better than to ask what happened. So if I sat through a movie, I really don't know the plot.:)

Books: by authors like Vince Flynn; when the USA is the good guy and with heroes like Mitch Rapp. I just finished "Stone Cold" by David Baldacci, It was very good, I really enjoy reading. I just learned about book thongs, very useful, and I can use my jewelry making supplies to make some nice ones.

Beading, porcelain doll making, accessories for all dolls & crafting in general. Lately I've been working on my fairy series. Wings, magic books, fairy dust, magic wands...many one of a kind projects. I have learned bottle cap magnets and button faries since I have been here at swap-bot and have incorperated this into my fairy line. Now I am trying polymer clay, hoping to make fairies, elves, dragons, trolls, pixies...I am already doing this with Dotee dolls and art dolls, and having a great time. I hope to do the same with poly clay. Only time will tell.

I guess the colors I am most attracted to are rich colors like wine, burgundy, hunter green, navy blue, teal, most in the blue family except bright blue. Also I like black, silver, gold and any combination of these. Now that spring has arrived and I am seeing all the lovely spring colors, I found I am liking them too. Favorite candy: Licorice, cinnamon, chocolate, lemon drops, mints.
