About Me

I am a working mother of 3. My kids range in ages from 13 to 3. I love my job where I mail phone books out. I also love my time with the kids. I like to craft and sew. I am currently into making cards and am just discovering the world of Dotee dolls and inchies.

Favorite Crafts

Mostly paper crafts right now. I am in a monthly card swap. I also enjoy making "I SPY" bags. Someday I will catch up on my scrapbooking and finish the ones for my kids. I have started making Dotee dolls and am LOVING it. I can't stop making them. Everytime I walk down the bead isle at the craft store I get an idea for a new one and have to make it as soon as I get home. Plus now, thanks to this site I'm also addicted to matchboxes. I love making and recieving them.

Favorite Books

I love what the used book store calls "cozy mysterys". They usually star some little old lady who sews or knits solving mysteries. The most recent books I've read however are the Twilight series. I LOVE those.

Favorite Television

I'm addicted to TV. Maybe because I can watch while I am crafting. Pretty much anything out there I will watch. Some of my top favorites are, Survivor, Amazing Race, Heroes, NCIS, The Mentalist, Prison Break, Fringe, Bones, House, CSI, Ghost Whisperer, Numbers, The Office, Chuck, Life, The cleaner, The Closer, Psyche, Saving Grace, Monk, Jon and Kate plus 8, Chowder...really the list could go on and on.

LIkes

My favorite color is orange. I like all the shades of it. I also like purple green yellow and blue Simpler is better if you ask me. I like glitter anything. Everything is cute if it's minature. chickens, but not roosters. swirls, dots, stripes. ribbons of ALL sorts except wired. Fabric of ALL sorts and sizes. beads - only glass ones - no plastic.

Dislikes

Coffee/tea - don't drink it. altered art. Lip balm. scented stuff. anything that smells like smoke. milk chocolate - in fact would rather not recieve any candy as I've just started a serious diet and will just have to give it away. horror movies.

Comment: Heather, your snowball dotee is absolutely delightful - thank you! Unfortunately, you clicked "sent" on Dec. 1 (one day late) but then didn't actually mail it until Dec. 3. It's too bad you didn't advise me that you were going to be sending a few days late as I would not have rated you down for it, and would also have given you a heart as she is so cute. Sorry if this upsets you, but I have stated clearly on my profile my policy on late sends.
Response: No worries, doesn't bother me in the least. I put my packages in the "personal mail" bucket at work and unfortunately their postage meter broke down and I didn't know. It was the 3rd before they got a new one. Glad you enjoyed her though - I had a lot of fun making her and it was hard to send her off. --Heather
