Winter is my "busy season" at work, and though I am not actively participating in very many swaps, those that I sign up for, I WILL mail on time. Sometimes I forget to mark as sent right away because I simply forget to, but I am trying to keep on top of that with my head spinning because of work.

To my penpals and friends I have made through swap-bot, because of work I am slightly behind on correspondence, so I am working my butt off to get everyones mail responded to in a timely manner. I'm so sorry for any delay in penpal letters! I love you all!

I'm nearly 30, small town girl in a medium sized city. I'm married to my best friend, Will. We live on the edge of a forest near a river, and love to feed the ducks and geese that call the river home.

I am constantly drinking tea, I'm never not knitting or writing a letter of some sort. I love long letters, and getting mail. I'm a little obsessed with birds. I'm tattooed and pierced but not in excess, and believe that people should be who they are, no matter who that is.

I really love receiving mail art in all forms. Anything handmade and creative does it for me.

I love upcycled stationery and handmade little notebooks to write letters in. I love maps that can be used in crafting (for envelopes, decoration, etc). I have a thing for Post-It notes and pens and office supplies (I always have).

SPECIFIC things that I would like:

• a list of things that make you happy
• a secret!
• coloured gel pens (please not scented or glittery)
• fine tipped black drawing pens
• letter pads (anything but flowers, religious, or cutsie, except kawaii is ok)
• letter sets (kawaii or just pretty, same as above)
• vegetarian and vegan recipes
• ATCs
• interesting zines
• mail art!
• something you've drawn (whether you're an artist or not!)
• tea, I love all kinds of tea!
• interesting/vintage-y ephemera for papercrafts
• stamps, I LOVE rubber stamps
• cute/funny/fun deco tapes
• anything from my etsy favourites (link in links list)
• anything with mustache humour
• anything knitting related (except yarn, I am picky with yarn): notions, patterns, needles
• craft and art books

I DO NOT swap:

• fbs/decos/slams
• religious items
• Disney items
• Hello Kitty
• floral-themed things (except maybe pretty floral stationery)

Please do not send me anything with loose glitter on it. Glitter is the bane of my existence, it sticks to everything!

I am allergic to:

• latex (PLEASE do not send me balloons as an item in a pacakge, or latex gloves. I will break out!)
• avacados
• cats (mostly if I am around them, so if you have a cat and send to me, it probably won't bug me unless theres a ton of fur on fabric or something!)
• smoke (I know some say they are "allergic" because they don't want items that smell like smoke, but really... I'm terribly allergic to smoke as I have asthma).

I am also:

• vegetarian (we do eat eggs, cheese, yogurt and honey. No other dairy since I am:
• lactose intolerant (but can have chocolate, cheese and yogurt products. I CAN'T have milk, ice cream, or products with pure lactose in them)

PLEASE NOTE: I am new to swap bot but have swapping for years. I moderate a LARGE (850+ member) yarn swap group on ravelry.com, I was a long time member of nervousness.org (back in the day!), and now am an obsessed member of sendsomething.net. Oh, and I have an etsy store with 100% feedback. I'm excited to swap via swap-bot now, so please have a little consideration for a "newbie" who isn't that new to swapping.

Also, I WILL ALWAYS send something that I commit to. If for some reason something is lost in the mail, or doesn't show up, or shows up damaged, PLEASE let me know, and I will replace it asap! I am serious about swapping (despite being a "newb" here on swapbot), and would hate for someone to rate me based on someone else's (postal system) error. Thank you :)
