Hello! I am a 30ish mom who loves crafting, reading, cooking, BUJO and snail mail! I hope to exchange with you soon!
So let me explain my thing with pineapples. I love them, but don't eat them. I went to culinary school. In school my favorite culinary elective was food history. Did you know that in the 1800's if you were traveling and saw a pineapple in someone's window, it meant that they took in guest for trade. The pineapple is the international sign of hospitality. The Greeks even saw it as a sign of hospitality. I don't know why, but after learning about them and cooking with them, they became one of my favorite things. I can make many of dishes with pineapples. And I love to, but I don't like the way they taste. :( I have had pineapple decor way before it became so popular. My first tattoo was a pineapple on wrist way back in. 07' !Pineapple are just so awesome!
So, I have different types of music I listen too when I am doing certain things or feeling certain ways. Like I only listen to country music in my car. When I am in the kitchen cooking I put on some Ray Charles Pandora radio. If I am cleaning house I'll put on some old school rock. If I am happy I am playing Billy Joel all day long!! If I am having a bad day I like to put on some piano music. If I am relaxing I like to listen to Carvan Palace on Pandora. Music is awesome. Oh and the only album that I have a adverse reaction to is Sublime's 3rd album, Sublim, can't listen to it!
Anything by Paulo Colheo! A few of my favorite reads are:
*The Red Tent- by Diamant, Anita
*The Zookeeper's Wife- by Ackerman, Diane
*The Mummy, or Ramses the Damned-by Anne Rice
*Salem's Lot- by Stephen King
*Second Glance- by Jodi Picoult
I am always up for reading something new!!
Anything scary. But my all time fave is Children of the Corn! I am also in love with Spirted away! I watch it on a regular basis.
Not big into TV. But I use to have an addiction to Law and Order.
Crafts are my fav!! I love making wreaths and any DIY decor! I am always crafting something, if you would see you can find me on Instagram @pyneapplequeen I want to try my hand at pocket letters and flip books. I've been hand manking some cards. It's fun and kinda challenging for me. I craft because I find it relaxing, and amind break.
*Anything Ghibli studio
*Happy snail mail
*Recipe card exchange
*BUJO (Bullet Journaling)
*I am not easily offended. NSFW okay.
I love snail mail! And I want to be able to swap so I always make a point to send my swap on time. If I am running late I will shoot you a PM. But if for some reason you do not receive a swap from please PM me so that I can make it up to you. (Oh and just bc I haven't click "sent" by the due date does not mean I didn't send it out on time. I am always forgetting to hit that button for some reason.) I don't want anyone to loose out on a swap bc something got lost in the mai or I messed up on an address. I am a busy momma of 3, but I promise to not take more swaps than I can handle. I can't wait to swap with you! Happy Swapping!!
Thanks for swapping with me! And I am always up for new pen pal or email pal, just PM me!!
I really dislike the feeling that this has to be said, but I will not tolerate drama. I loveSwap-Bot and I enjoy swapping with its community member and this is why I will just block any and all drama. I understand that some have major issues with other swappers. That will not be me and you. If I host a swap, more than likely it will be open to all. I know that there are swappers out there that are not perfect. But I don't mind giving people a chance. As a host I will gladly make sure that everyone signed up in my swap gets what is described. If you feel the need to email me to "warn" me about another swappers make sure you are at least signed up for the swap. But please keep in mind my giving people a chance attitude. I joined Swap-Bot for enjoyment. I will not get into the drama. If we don't mix, no hard feelings. Happy swapping!
I really enjoy learning about religion. If I didn't get into culinary school, my back up plan was to study world religions. I am fascinated my them. (Disclaimer: I am not religious, but do consider myself spiritual.)
I want to learn more about mindfulness and put it into practice.
I want to learn more about politics and law bc I think the shit is gonna hit the fan here in the USA sooner than later.
I want to learn more about photography and editing. I have a nice DSLR and lens, but I need to learn more get better.
