I'm a 30-year-old child at heart, living in the northwest corner of Georgia with my sweet husband who tolerates my penchant for hoarding books, paper, and craft supplies. We don't have any babies yet, but hope to have one or adopt one in the future. I'm blessed to have a job that I love - I work full time for a great company as a manager for a service specialist team.
When I'm not working, I love to read, try new recipes, take indulgent naps, and surf the internet for fun and learning. And, of course, I love creating stuff. Most of my crafting revolves around paper, but I do occasionally dabble with sewing and have made a purse or two for myself in the past. I love to make and receive ATCs, inchies, serendipity squares, postcards, letters, bookmarks, and pretty much anything that will fit into an envelope. Oh, and I like making envelopes, too.
Colors: The only intense color I really like is red. Love, love, love any pretty red. My second favorite color is a shimmery silverish blue-green. But I also adore any soft greens, blues, and purples. And clean color combinations like white and green. And shades of autumn: amber, gold, burgundy, deep orange, brown.
Characters: Happy Bunny, Chococat, Snow White, Leela from Futurama, Sherlock Holmes, Iron Man, Ming Ming from The Wonder Pets, Hermione from the Harry Potter series, Scarlett from Gone With the Wind, Benjamin Martin from The Patriot, Snoopy, Bucky from Get Fuzzy, Deery-Lou
Textures, Patterns: Stripes, plaids, muted florals, natural tweedy-type fabrics
Symbols, Shapes: the cross, birds, squares, the American flag, pears, stars
Places: bookstores, coffee shops, Williamsburg, Virginia; Washington, DC; and I haven't visited yet but I think I would love Ireland and Austria
Fragrances: coffee, lavender, light musk, pear, autumn scents, fresh peaches
History: The Colonial American period through the American Revolution. I would have loved to have lived during these times.
Animals: puppies - especially bichon frises and cocker spaniels; birds, and bunnies
Movies: The Saint, The Patriot, My Dog Skip, Titanic, Amazing Grace, Immortal Beloved
Music: Beethoven, Celtic Woman, Elvis Presley, Enya, Evanescence, Ginny Owens, James Horner, Jewel, John Williams, Josh Groban, Josh Turner, Leahy, Lorie Line, Mannheim Steamroller, Michael Buble, Missy Higgins, Mozart, Nicole C. Mullen, Paul Potts, Perry Como, Sarah Brightman, Shania Twain, Trace Adkins
(1) a very special pen pal: with whom I have a lot in common (including those two "touchy" subjects of religion and politics); who wants to have a friend and be a friend, being open and sharing life's ups and downs; who will stay in touch via postal mail and/or email, at least on a monthly basis; who enjoys being artsy crafty with their letters, putting love and fun and delight into envelopes and knowing they'll get the same from me; who is intelligent, funny, and real
(2) fantastic pages made in different themes by many various crafty people that I can use to make chunky books for my own collection. I'll trade stuff for this, of course!
(3) a dotee doll collection. I haven't even made one on my own yet, but I think they are so adorable and want to get into swapping these soon.
churches, refrigerator magnets, Americana items, bookmarks, used postage stamps, ATCs, recipes, inchies, serendipity squares, postcards, and Precious Moments figurines

Being in the same swap as you are for Halloween e-cards, I decided to read your profile (just to prepare what I'd say in my card if I got you!) and I must say, I had a very strong urge to leave a comment because of what you wrote about wanting a very special pen pal. Thing is, I don't think we would totally agree on the "touchy" subjects but I'd love to get to know you better! You've described exactly what I'm looking for in a pen pal!!! Could we be a match? ;o)
I'm looking forward to receiving your first dotee. I'm sure you will do a great job.
And thank you for the compliment. :o)
Hi there! Thanks for joining the Inchies Swap #2. I wanted to invite you to our group "Inchie Love", hope to see you there. Take care & keep on creating. -Red
