I'm currently in the midst of moving so I'm not on swap-bot a lot... But I did not forget my great pen-pals and I try to participate in small tags so that I'm not forgotten here! I love swap-bot and hope to be in lots of swaps after the move and all the work we have to do in the new house!! :o)

I'm a stay-at-home-mom (for now!) and I live in the North-West of France (Brittany). I'm also a teacher but I'm currently on a long maternity leave... I have two dogs, shar-peïs (females). I love knitting, reading and taking photographs...

I'm a reliable swapper and I will always put a lot of thoughts in anything I send out!!

I love the idea of Random Acts of Kindness. I'm the girl who smiles to strangers, talks to old ladies at bus stops, helps out and volunteers information. I guess my mom set a great example for me!

Favorite Crafts

I'd love to be better at sewing, making jewelry or papercrafting but until now, I only felt comfortable with knitting...

Being part of this community challenges me to practise new things and explore lots of interesting crafts! So far, I've enjoyed trying out at Amigurumis, Dotee dolls, Inchies, Zentangles... It's really been a fantastic source of inspiration and challenge!

My likes and dislikes

I love polka dots, black lace, anything simple yet elegant but also cute kawaï food /animal characters (but nothing commercial like Hello Kitty or Disney). I'm not into anything religious or kitch.

Things that make me happy - to look at, to smell, to wear, on fabric, on paper, etc...

  • Flowers : daysies, gerberas, red poppies, cherry blossoms, peonies and bright pink roses!

  • Fruits: strawberries, raspberries, cherries and apples!

  • Shapes: HEARTS (I just love them), stars and scalloped rounds!

  • Colors: Bright Pink, Orange, Lime Green, Red, Aqua, Black... but I'm not a big fan of Yellow though...

Also, I'm a Chocolate Addict and I have a very sweet tooth!

Things I don't like:

I don't drink any coffee or tea! But I love their smell! :o)

I don't like cinnamon, licorice, mint, aniseed, raisins or incence (or strong smells).

My whishlist

Craft material like:

  • ribbons (polka dots especially!)

  • pretty buttons or embellishments, charms and beads

I also love stationery, office supplies and anything paper related :

  • I would LOVE to receive some simple tags cut out with a round scalloped punch (any color, any size)!

  • Nice paper (for letter writing)

  • Labels or unusual post-it notes

  • Cute deco tapes

  • Punches, rubber stamps, clear stamps (love those), ink pads in any color.

  • Stamped images from your collection

I love to read magazines in English. My favorites are Martha Stewart Living and Fashion/Girly magazines like Cosmo or Elle (you get the picture). It doesn't have to be the whole magazine, I'd also love to get good clippings of interesting articles or craft tutorials! :o)

I'm always happy to receive typical food from the US (Almond M&M's, Reese's PEANUT BUTTER pieces, whipps or fast break bars, butterfinger or baby ruth bars) or anything chocolaty from any country like cookies, candy bars, etc. But nothing with licorice, aniseed, alcohol, cinnamon or mint, please! Nuts on the contrary, I love!

I'm also happy to receive any instructions/ tutorial / starter's kit for a craft that I don't know. For example : ATC, Fimo, scrabble tiles, bottlecap magnets, pincushions, stuffies or anything you want to introduce me to!! :o)

My little girl

I'm crazy about my baby girl, Eloïse, who was born in March 2008. She has got quite a character but she's also very eager to laugh!

She has dark blonde hair, blue eyes and fair skin. She's a sweet little girl, very cute in bright colors especially red, green, pink and purple! But I also like darker colors like grey or even black on her! She's a size 18 month and little hats and hair clips suit her very well!

She loves to play and read but her passion is WALKING! She never tires of walking around our appartment with a small toy or book in her hand!

She's a big CAT fan now and loves anything with cats on it or cat softies...

It would also be nice to get anything for her new room! For example nice ATCs, postcards, illustrations or drawings! :o)

Response: You're very welcome! The lindt chocolate has always been my favorite, I missed it so much when I lived in the US!! The tea is herbal so it's great for a cosy night at home! :o)

Comment: Wow. Thank you, thank you, thank you! I can't even begin to tell you how much I love the apron. I would have picked out the EXACT SAME ONE if I'd seen it in a store. Am a little curious about the caramel spread (LOVE caramel) - Do you spread it on a warm cake or do you just spread it on once it's cooled? And, what type of cake do you usually put it on?
Response: I'm so glad you liked the apron! I thought it might fit you after reading more about you in your blog... ;o) As for the caramel spread, I must say I've almost exclusively used it on crêpes here... You can also taste it on simple bread or any kind of cake (I'm guessing it would be delicous with on a chocolate cake!!) . What I also do is put some on my apple pies (just beneath the apple slices) before baking.... Yummy! :o)
