I love writing and pen paling. I tend to stray away from writing the typical introduction letters as I find it quite boring to write about, but I'm good at writing long letters about my day or about some stray thought that comes to my mind while I have a pen in my hand. I love sending and receiving mail in general. At the moment I'm pretty content being on Swap-bot just for letter writing, notecard, postcard, and photography swaps.

I just recently watched a movie on Netflix that I liked. It's called Mary and Max. If you have a love for pen paling, I think you might like it too :)

I loveee reading. I once got turned down for a librarian job here in the town library. Perhaps they knew I'd spend my days hiding out in the aisles with my nose in a book. Or perhaps it's because my career background for the past 10 years has been in the Health Information Management field and I simply wasn't qualified =P

I'm mostly drawn to fantasy books, (vampires, demons, fairies). My favorite author's for those are Ilona Andrews, Kim Harrison, Charlaine Harris, and Faith Hunter's. I also enjoy mysteries, cookbooks, and any book that's good for a laugh. If you have any suggestions on books for a 12 year old boy, I would love to hear about it. My son enjoys reading almost as much as I do (hooray!), but he seems to think he has read all the good books already. Oh brother.

Spending time with family, spending time alone, (I'm a Libra, so I need both!), hula, tahitian ori/aparima, hiking, working out at the gym (okay not totally sure I like that one. I like it more when I just completed a workout), walking the dog, yoga, sewing, reading, cooking, reading, writing, photography, finding a good garage sale or something absolutely great at a thrift shop. Hesitantly I admit I can be a total gamer, I blame this on growing up with just brothers. Mainly I like the mmorpg's. It started with my brother getting me on to Everquest, then I went to EQ2, then WoW, COH and COV. Right now I've been playing DCUO on the PS3. Let me know if you're on it too!
