I am a Born-again Christian and 'science geek' in my early 40's. I married my best friend and we live in beautiful Bucks County, Pennsylvania. We have been together for almost 25 years. Our two amazing daughters are students at Lancaster Bible College, one a junior and the other a freshman. So, I am a new empty-nester and dealing with it as best as I can :(
I am a Laboratory Scientist in a local community hospital. In my 30's, I was diagnosed with a neurological disease that is aggravated by stress and I work in a HIGH stress field,
so crafts are my "stress reducers".
A NOTE TO MY FUTURE SWAP PARTNERS: My disease causes flare ups that come without any warning and can be incapacitating. IF that happens, and I am going to be late sending a swap, I will contact you or I will have my husband (Frank) contact you, to let you know there will be a delay. And then, I will send the swap as soon as I am able. I DO NOT/WILL NOT use my disease as an excuse! ALL SWAPS WILL BE SENT.
I LIKE TO MAKE PEOPLE HAPPY! So fill out your profile, because if I see you like or want to try something I have - I will send you some!
I RECYCLE: Everything I possibly can including boxes, packing material, and swap items. If I receive something in a swap that I, or my family, cannot/will not use, I will re-swap it. Please do not take offense - it is nothing personal -I just hate to see things go to waste. If that would severley offend you, please let me know.
MY FAVORITE CRAFTS: Scrapbooking, Mixed media & altered art, Stamping and Embossing, making cards or any other paper crafts.
I have been "scrapbooking" since my teens - only it didn't have a name then. "Back then" I made everything myself. When they started coming out with supplies just for scrapbooking I was thrilled - and I started collecting!! I have a huge craft room with TONS of supplies to choose from to swap!
I have over 700 skeins of fancy fibers
Boxes and boxes of rolls of ribbons
Every kind of scrapbooking embellishment: charms, tags, brads, eyelets, etc...
Glass slides (microscope), different sizes, I bought a few boxes to try something new and found I should stick to paper crafts.
Antique book pages - naturally distressed. Some with formulas, charts, graphs, recipes, pictures
Chipboard and Grungeboard
Snapple lids
Movie pins (my daughter works at FYE on school breaks)
Souvenier items from Pennsylvania AND I live within 10 minutes of: Sesame Place, Franklin Mills, Lenox & Lindt outlet. Within 30 minutes of: Historic Philadelphia, New Hope and Peddler's Village. Further away but we go a few times a year: Lancaster/Amish country, The Jersey Shore, Atlantic City.

Hi Susan,
I love the postcard that I got yesterday from you. I never gotten a postcard from Pennsylvania before and I really like the picture on front of Philadelphia at night. I am ready for the snow because my mom and I love to go skiing and snowboarding, and of course sledding too. I can't wait until Thanksgiving because I love turkey!! My grandpa is also having a family from Kenya over to his house to eat for some reason but I think that will be fun too. Christmas is my favorite holiday too!! I'm going to bed now but thank you again for the cool card.
