JUNE 22, 2011 My health has deteriorated in the past year. I don’t know how I got so old so fast. I don’t feel I can continue with swapping unless my health improves. I have very little sight left in my left eye now. I’m getting shots in that eye monthly but there doesn’t seem to be much improvement. My husband had been in intensive care twice in a two week period this year. I thank every one of my fellow swap_ bot pals for the joy you have given me and all the things you have done for my husband. Your kindness has overwhelmed me. I miss everyone so much. I won’t withdraw my profile information yet. I know I still have thank yous to do. If I haven’t thanked you for a swap, please email me or pm me. I will try to get help reading the posts. October 2010 – I had another eye surgery in September which was successful. My doctor tells me my eyes should be stabilized by the end of December. I am getting better and try to have a positive outlook. I miss sending things to you. I have so many thank yous to send. Please bear with me. Your kindness in not forgotten and is very much appreciated. April 14, 2010 Eye surgery was 3 weeks ago. There were complications. I am so depressed. My vision on terrible. I want to get back to Swap-bot. I miss every one.
March 7,2010 I noticed more difficulty with my sight the past 2 weeks. I went to the doctor this week and now need surgery on both eyes. I will have the first done March 24th. Then other will not be done until I can pay for the first surgery. I hope to have some help this week to send more thank yous to everyone who has sent wonderful wishes. I know I am far behind on thank yous. Everything is literally a blur. No sight in the left eye at all. Right eye is getting progressively worse. Hope to be back soon. I miss everyone. January 2010 - Please bear with me. I have almost no sight in my left eye now and minimal sight in the right eye. I so miss everyone. I am trying to find health insurance to I can have surgery. Hope to get back to swapping in the near future. November 2009 - Please bear with me. I'm hoping to get back on track in the next week. My husband and brother were both hospitalized in October and earlier this month. I have several Thank Yous to do and hope to send some nice things again soon.June 2009 - This has been an unbelieveable month. Two weeks I mangled my tendon in my right arm. I'm nursing it myself since I have no insurance. Last Saturday I got a very deep scratch across the cornea of one eye while trimming tree branches. My vision is not good. I will still send some Wishlist wishes but please bear with me. January 2009 - I need to do major damage control. We have had 4 emergency room visits in our family since November. I have pacages waiting to go in the mail. I'm not asking for much for myself this month. This will be a catchup month. I'm 59, married 35 years with 2 grown children. I'm a caregiver for my husband who is on kidney dialysis. I mystery shop and do merchandising to supplement our income. I collect anything related to tea - cups, tea balls,infusers,tea,teapots, books. I have always loved cooking.

There are very few kinds of music I don't like. I enjoy the blues, celtic, folk, classical, reggae, oldies, peruvian flute, old style country to name a few.

All time favorite would be the Quiet Man (John Wayne). I love anything with Kurt Russell, Johnny Depp, Patrick Swayze.

KNITTING Card Making - This is a new craft for me.

I love candles - scented or unscented. Gardening especially with native plants. We have a half acre that we have tried to leave in its natural state. Many different birds and wild animals come to visit. Our yard has been designated as a wildlife habitat. I especially love to see and hear the birds.I enjoy photography - nature mostly. Sunrises are a favorite. I am interested in anything old - antiques, vintage things. I should have been born in another era.

I have been penpalling since 12 years of age. I have made some very special, long time friends.
