I'm in my mid-thirties and have been married to my best friend since 2000. I don't have any children, but I do have a rat terrier named Annabelle Dangermouse. I don't currently have a job, but I do a lot of volunteer work.
My main art and/ or crafts are art journaling and mixed media type things. I make and collect ATCs and I've just started with rolos (rolodex cards). I also collect inchies, but for some reason, I rarely make them.
I've tried most paper crafts you can think of, including rubber stamping, card making, and scrapbooking, although I don't do them much anymore. I am doing Project Life this year.
In the past I've done beading/ jewelry making, polymer clay, and cross-stitching, but it's been a while.
I can sort of knit, but not particularly well. I've made lots of scarfs, but that's about it.
I enjoy many different types of music, but my favorite is probably 70's/ 80's rock.
I read. A lot. Anything and everything I can get my hands on.
I'm a big Harry Potter fan. I definitely prefer the books to the movies.
My current favorite series is the Mary Russell/ Sherlock Holmes mysteries series by Laurie R King.
I also enjoyed the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon.
I'm looking forward to the third book in the All Souls trilogy by Deborah Harkness; the first book is A Discovery of Witches.
Favorite current TV shows: Doctor Who, Sherlock, Downton Abbey, How I Met Your Mother, Big Bang Theory, NCIS, and I used to watch Glee, but I lost interest in the third season.
Past shows I like: Friends, ER, Firefly, Charmed before it got too weird.
Craft Supplies: sticker, paper (even scraps), rubber stamps, pens, markers, embellishments, pretty much anything
I like office/ school supplies: pens, paper, stationery, notebooks, post-its, memo pads, markers, etc.
Journals of any shape and size
I love paper and ephemera, especially if it is in a language other than English.
I'm a huge Harry Potter fan.
Animals - frogs, monkeys, giraffes, zebras, butterflies. I love zebra print on anything
Colors - blue, purple, and brown (although I like most any color, those are my favorites) Least favorite color is pink.
Food/ beverages - I don't have any food allergies for you to worry about. I prefer cocoa/ hot chocolate and coffee to tea, but I mostly drink Dr Pepper. I have a K-cup coffee maker, but can use regular coffee as well. I hate black licorice, but red is ok. Candy, chewing gum, and chocolate are all good. My favorite candy is Rolos. Please be aware that I live in the southern USA, so sending anything that could melt isn't a good idea in the summer. One thing I would love to have that I can't seem to find any more is Spicy Guacamole flavored Pringles. If you have them in your area, please send me a message and maybe we can arrange a private swap or something.
I've collected postcards for years, any type: old, new, blank, written to me or to others.
I also collect smooshed pennies (where you put a penny in a machine and it stretches the penny and puts a picture on it). I think they're called elongated pennies (or coins) or souvenir pennies, but I've always called them smooshed.
Keychains, bookmarks, other trinkets are all good.
Anything related to the TV shows listed above would be great.
I like kawaii, especially cupcakes and other food, but I don't know much about different companies or anything. I used to have a huge assortment of Keroppi, but I've sold or given away most of it over the years. Now I wish I had kept it.
I love washi tape and other decorative tape.
I like "cute" stuff as well as more serious "realistic" type things. I also like odd, really weird things. I have a strange sense of humor. I am intrigued by steampunk.
I like weird socks, but since I have big feet (US woman's size 10), most "novelty" socks are a bit too small for me.
I would love to receive anything handmade. I love to see other people's art.
Other things I like: flowers, especially daisies and sunflowers; British things; Asian themed things; Halloween (the holiday); crosswords and other puzzles, shoes.
I know this is kind of a long list, but don't feel you have to stick to it. I'm not picky. If I don't like or can't use what you send, I'll find someone who will.
If you have any questions, feel free to message me.
I'm not very much into sports (playing or watching). I played trumpet and cornet in marching and concert bands all through school, although I haven't played much in a while.
