My name is Jessica and I have recently moved to North Texas. During the move our biggest pooch Kaiser was hit by a truck, he has made a full recovery thank goodness. But it's with sadness that I say my chihuahua/terrier Toby went to doggy heaven after 10 years. It happened in mid May and its especially hard in the evenings when we would cuddle. I take comfort in knowing that he was loved and I'll never regret that. Everybody with a pooch that you love like a kid, please give them a kiss for me. It seems that since the move something major has happened every other week. It's been challenging but I have a great support system.
My best friend is my sister-in-law, she and I are crazy for crafts. Papercrafts, crochet, happy mail, vinyl projects and heat transfer vinyl projects. Basically, any excuse to visit Hobby Lobby and Michaels. And Target, lets not forget about Target. Since the move, I have made a big effort to not splurge on crafty items. Moving has made me realize how much I have and need to use.
If ever you have not received a swap from me please message me, I would be happy to resend. If it is a package then I will more than likely have a tracking number with it, just let me know. :) Communication is key.
I'm a nerd for Bob's Burgers. They're a family that cooks specialty burgers, they live above their restaurant, across the street is an Italian restaurant Jimmy Pestos and a stationery store called Yours Truly Stationery. They can break out in song at any moment. It's got everything I need and I love everything about it.
CURRENTLY READING... Absolutely nothing. So if you have any suggestions, I would greatly appreciate them.
Books and authors that I have loved: The Shining, Doctor Sleep, The Stand, anything written by Neil Gaiman, Harry Potter, Outlander series, Gillian Flynn, Liane Moriarty, Ray Bradbury, David Sedaris, Fahrenheit 451, the Girl With the Dragon Tattoo trilogy, The Never Ending Story. This list could go on. I would also like to mention that I read/listen to books in all forms. Paperback, e-reader, audio. Recipes for my bread maker and/or pressure cooker.
A thoughtful gift I received recently was a heat press; my husband felt bad watching me trying to put all my weight on a college dorm sized iron.

animals: cats and dogs mostly. My husband and I fight over who gets to cuddle the cat most nights. When I see animals on the street my voice turns into a high pitched baby squeal and I start adding 's' and 'z's to the ends ofz my words. My closest friends understand that the phenomenon is to be ignored. Strangers have asked me if I'm okay.
the ocean or beach. It's soothing.
Vietnam, my parents built a house in my Mom's home village and my siblings and I try to visit every few years.
A look at my pinterest boards will give you a nice picture of things that I enjoy. Link is at the top of my profile.
I have an allergy to pistachios.
Postcards: I prefer PCs to be sent naked. But if it needs protecting, it's fine to send it in an envie, just use your judgement.
Teas: I like most teas except for chai tea. I'm so sorry Chai Tea, I really wanted to like you, but I just don't.
