Sorry, but I just don't have time for swapping right now. I have been killing myself working two weeks straight everyday with no day off, add that to having cancer, a cousin dying a horriffic death too soon and my husband being unemployed for 2 months now and I'm a wreck. Swaps aren't a whole lot of fun right now and I don't feel like I can put as much into them as I would like to and what is needed. I love swapping, but I need to get my life in order, I hope you understand and I will remain active on here until all swaps have been met, I just can't be in any more swaps for awhile. Thanks for understanding. XO, Petries Dish
Social Distortion. 80's music. Ska. Old school punk. Johnny Cash. Oldies. Old Country Music.Mariachi and Mexican folk music
The Holy Bible. Cooksbooks. If you give a mouse a cookie.
Boondock Saints. Slap Shot. Hedwig and the angry inch. Comic book and video game based movies.
HOCKEY GAMES! That's about it, I don't really tend to watch tv other than that.
I'm dying to learn to knit, I think I'm going to teach myself. I really want to learn and or get into more and more crafts. Feel free to teach me a thing or two.
I really like homemade gifts and craft items, it's such a lost art and common decency that we don't embrace so much. My favorite color is purple.
I also really like religious relics (christian/catholic) like figurines, statues, paintings, crosses, candles and votives, rosaries, pendants, bibles. Anything really. I love Claude Coello's St. Michael and De La Rocha's The Martyr.
The Flowers I like also have a deep religious connection and are also what I used in my wedding, Marigolds (my favorite), Black magic roses, calla lillies. I also like Jasmine and Honeysuckle.
I love the hockey team the Pittsburgh Penguins! LOVE THEM!! I also like the Pittsburgh Steelers, but I am a huge hockey fan. Never been to Pennsylvania.
I am obsessed with mexican folk art, the works of Frieda Kahlo and Diego Rivera as well as ANYTHING Day of the dead (the mexican holiday, not the movie). I build my altar with ofrendas every year, so I am always collecting.
I am a professional chef so I always love to receive recipes, cookbooks, anything food or culinary, anything. Dolls, trivets, paintings, atc's. I really have a passion for this.
I would love to learn a language. I'm kind of interested more in Russian, Portugese, or French right now, but I am always open to new things. I love cultures and travel, postcards are pretty cool or maybe even pictures from your own travels or a small journal of a journey you've taken.
Teach me something, if you are an artist, professional or there is something you are very passionate about, tell me about it! I'd love to learn new things about everyone no matter how small it might be. I've been told what it's like to really "push" when giving birth, explained how to beer funnel, and shown the proper way to do musical spoons. I always love to ask.
Lastly, Born in Texas, Raised in Florida. Never been up north, but will be moving within 1/4 mile of the Canadian border in New York come March, I have never seen a snowflake let alone ever been in freezing weather. I am very Texas and Tex-Mex proud, but am very curious about where I'm moving to. Any advice, that's great too.
I have alot pride for my heritage. Raised in the deep south, I am half Tex-Mex (Martinez and Cuellar are the family names) and the other half is Irish/French.
Tattooed Professional Chef, outgoing but also a homebody. Obsessed with Hockey. I also adore Mexican folk art and day of the dead festivities. Newlywed working on a family. :) Devout Christian.
