I am a working mother of two, one seven year old loving boy and one five year old bossy beautiful girl. I have a wonderful fiance that totally gets me and we have this wonderful comfort with each other that is hard to describe. He's a border patrol agent and I'm a radiology, CT tech at the little hospital here in Del Rio, Texas. There really isn't much here and it's hard to find art supplies. I go to San Antonio about once a month and hit the art stores and fabric stores there when I need supplies. Online art swapping is by far the best invention yet, except my Iphone, which I love.

I love all kinds of music and love to be introduced to new forms of music. I love piano and still would love to learn to play the right way instead of by ear, which is what I've done in the past. I'm really a novice but would love piano or violin to learn. They both sing to my soul. I grew up at an 80percent black school and R&B and Hip Hop with a great grove makes me feel at home. I love upbeat country and christian music. I grew up going to rock concerts and still listen to alot of rock. I love some new artists like Gabriella Cilmi, Duffy, Lady GaGa and some old ones like The White Stripes. My Ipod has days of music and all types. I even have some british rap/hiphop(Lady Sovereign is one of my faves). Too many to name

My favorite thing to do is read a book. And I've been given a hard time before because most of the time I read more than one book at a time. It's like picking up a conversation with a friend days later and I still remember what we were talking about. And I really get moody about the last 20 pages or so of a really great book. It's like losing a new best friend.

I love historical romance, fantasy, Twilight series, Sookie Stackhouse series, Wizards first Rule, Harry Potter, Eragon, I guess I like series' because it takes longer to lose that best friend :) Christian fiction (Francine Rivers is great), general modern romance and soo much more. I'm not really into non-fiction unless it pertains to art

It's easier to name movies that I haven't liked than movies that I do like. The worst ever was "A Thin Red Line" My movie I watch when I want to feel cozy is "Little Women". I love "P.S. I Love You" The first 10 to 15 minutes is the best, the arguement is perfect. Like real life, the girl just wants to be mad and the guy has no clue what it's about and it shows how madly they love each other anyways. I love watching movies about people doing mundane things and showing how weird we all can get. "Grandma's Boy" is one of my faves. Any good story. War movies, westerns, religious, romance, sci-fi (The new Star Trek rocked). Stoner movies. Whatever.

My fiance and I are watching whole seasons of "True Blood", "Dexter", "Lost", "Sanctuary", "Heros"

I like "Greys Anatomy", "Ugly Betty", "Nurse Jackie", "10 Things I Hate About You", "Eastwick", "Mercy", "Modern Family", "Flash Forward", "Cougar Town" and am looking forward to "V"

I love painting, I mostly have used acryllics and accidently used oils one day and was blown away by how well it blended. I love crochet and I've been making lots of scarfs :) for all my friends. It gives me something to do with my hands while I'm watching movie or TV shows. I really seem to be much more inspired by doing art for other people rather than myself, so I think the swapping thing will be wonderful. I love the mixed media idea and a friend is introducing me to using household items in art and how it really adds depth. Used dryer sheets....who knew :)

I would love if anyone wants to take me under their wing and teach me something new. I want to learn anything I can and explore new ways of using things. I chose not to go to art college because I really didn't do well with criticism of my art. I really put alot of myself into it and used to take it really hard. As I've grown, I've realized that art is different to everyone and not everyone has to love what I do (my mom is my biggest fan). So, teaching how to improve things that I already do is something I am completely open to and would love.
