THIS IS ME.....
Well, I was a full time working woman until the economy slowed to a crawl. I am presently looking for a full time job after 18 1/2 years in my previous one. (Thanks General Motors!!!) I have gone back to school part time to try and recapture some computer skills that were not part of my previous job. It sure is "fun" going to community college with all of those "young whippersnappers". It really is a challenge and it is keeping me sane while I look for a job, along with half of the county that I live in!!!
I also, by choice, am a full time crafter. I have been crafting for 30 plus years and have tried just about everything. I started making raggedy dolls when my girls were little and haven't looked back. I really, really love to paint and that is what I have been doing for the majority of my craft years. I do oils and acrylic and have tried just about all types of painting. I have yet to try watercolors though.
So you can imagine how neat my house is . . .NOT!! I am a total mess at home. Well, not that I have a path through each room, but I have stuff everywhere. My main craft area is the dining room table, but stuff tends to spread. I swear the cat gets in that stuff at night and just gets it everywhere. Thats my story and I am sticking to it!!
I am currently waaaaaaaay into primitive folk art painting. That is my line of painted things that I sell at craft fairs throughout the year. My oldest daughter and I do craft fairs, street festivals and anything else to pay for the craft fix. I will paint anything that dosen't move. I have painted table leaves, magnolia leaves, anything wood, gas cans, kerosene cans, spoons, cake savers, muffin tins, match tins, lunch boxes, suitcases, shelves, peg boards, silverware boxes, picnic baskets, glass jars, lanterns, clothing, buttons, shovels, hoes, trays, pots, plates and my husband if he sits still long enough. I have painted sheep on everything under the sun....
I have an etsy shop, but it is idle at the moment but you can see some of the things I sold last year FlemingFarmDesigns.etsy.com update: I have a few thing in my etsy store, more on the way.
