11/18 Update My Grandmother passed away this past week and I am just getting back into town and the swing of things. I have one or two swaps that are definitely running off schedule (those affected should have received messages) and another couple that are threatening to become an issue (hopefully not). Please bear with me and I will get everything to everyone as quickly as possible. Thank you.

I am a wife and mother of one. I work part time and go to school part time, but I am a writer full time (although I've had very little published). I get a little behind now and then, but I always put my best effort into whatever I do.

I have many hobbies, but I spend most of my free time making jewelry. I seem to spend more time buying beads than I actually do using them, but it is a habit that is impossible to break. I've also made wood crafts (i.e. desk set) with a lot of experimentation with decoupage and one stroke painting. I have a sewing machine. I haven't actually ever used it, but I do own one. I guess I'll try any craft at least once. Since joining Swap-Bot, I've really taken to making ATCs. I am continually learning new techniques and mediums I can use based on the cards I receive. Now, everything I see (i.e. empty Kleenex box) has potential ATC use.

I really enjoy Agatha Christie mysteries. They are quick reads that don't require the reader to do much more than sit back and enjoy. When I have time to entertain myself with more intricate books, I prefer mysteries and thrillers. However, I am a sucker for a romance now and then...as long as the plot and characters are realistic.

I am a big movie fan, and my favorites change with the wind. Right now, I'm really into comic-based movies since I am an avid comic book reader/collector. So, here's my list... Okay...this list really could go on forever, so I'm going to stop here.

I am really big on reality television...although I'm generally in the closet about it. I like: Gladiator Survivor Last Comic Standing The Mole and a lot of crap on VH1 that I'll never admit to watching!

Black is probably my favorite color, but I'm not picky and would prefer not to receive everything in black. I really like plaids and polka dots (and being a big fan of black, it goes without saying that I love hounds tooth).

I collect postcards and comic books--mostly Marvel Comics. I prefer weathered postcards. There is something about the post office's abuse of these little beauties that adds to their charm. I collect all types and I am not all that picky. I really like the handmade ones and the ones people make from pics they've taken themselves.

Other than my sister-in-law, here are a few things I really don't care for much: *baby pink *vanilla scents (though the flavor is cool) *ATCs with no info on the back *snakes *spiders
