I'm a 40 something mother of two with brownish hair and freckles - everything else changes without notice! I live with my boyfriend and my 20 year old daughter. I have two pussy cats, Rascal and Shadow. I had a little dog Toto who passed away September 1st.
I really like green (I know I have more green clothes than anyone else I know lol ), I love mythological creatures but dragons are my favorite - I do have a soft spot for unicorns though. I've become fascinated with dragonflys - they are just so pretty.
I live in a fairly small city in Ontario Canada.
I enjoy most kinds of music but I'm not a fan of either rap or country and western. Thrash metal (aka screaming) isn't to my taste either. I'm partial to what is now referred to as "oldies" - music from the 70's and 80's.
I like Mercedes Lackey, Stephen King, Kathy Reichs, Jane Austen. I'll pretty much read anything other than Harlequins up to and including cereal boxes lol.
I'm gonna sound like a huge geek but I love the musicals - My Fair Lady, The King and I . Not a big fan of either horror or actions movies.
I like a good procedural - CSI, Cold Case, Forensic Files and I love documentaries.
I sew, knit (not very well as I'm teaching myself but I'm getting better lol), I've also taken up origami and I'm really enjoying that - it's amazing how much origami paper I've been using lol. I have a brand spankin new embroidery/sewing machine and I'm still learning how to use it. Crocheting has become a fav - I've been crocheting SackBoy dolls and trying to figure out if there is a market for selling them.
I've been trying out different paper crafts but I'm still not convinced about the scrapbooking thing (lol) and Postcrossing - I've been postcrossing for over a year now and the sheer joy of getting something in the mail that WASN'T a bill was what brought me here LOL.
swapcards and notecards for putting in swaps
dragons - anything dragon - really I like them all
Japanese stuff - anything at all really japanophilia runs rampant in this place
Egypt/egyptian things are always welcome
origami paper - any colour, size or shape I can use them all - I've been making kusudamas, kimono dolls and bookmarks
souvenirs from your country - keyrings, magnets even postcards - I love getting things from far away
I've been "upgrading" my charm bracelet so I'm looking for charms from different places
I received a really really cool tea that I loved it was "Che Mate" from South America and I would truly enjoy getting more of that
sour candy - I really love the Altoid Sours but no one seems to know where to get them :(
dragons
flavoured teas
silver (it's shiny lol)
green is my favorite colour but I like blue and purple as well - I'm more fond of the deeper shades than the neon LOL
lime and lemon are my most loved flavours
interesting fabrics - they don't need to be quilt shop quality - I'm not a fabric snob
cool beads
socks - colourful funky socks
Dislikes
flowery perfume - really bad on me - I have some kind of oddly acidic skin that not only turns silver black, it also makes a flower perfume smell like I've been having a good roll in a dumpster
religious stuff - I have no problem with other people's religions but please don't share - I don't try to get you to convert to worshiping the Invisible Pink Unicorn (Blessed be her Holy Hooves) so please give me the same courtesy.

Let us be grateful to people who make us happy for they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom. -- Marcel Proust
…for a wonderful time at yesterday’s meet-up, and for the cute crocheted butterfly and blue mini-tote bag. It was fun to finally meet!

Thinking of you and wishing you a glorious summer!
In celebration of my 200 hearts...
I'm sending you hearts!
For all the hearts you've given,
The hearts someone forgot to give you,
And most of all,
For all the heart you put into your art!
Love & Light,
