I've been a quilter for about 30 yrs. I live my own home in a small town. I have a grown son living with me, a Shepard mix dog and a 17 year old lovebird.
When I bought that bird as a Xmas gift for my 10 year old I had no idea that bird would still be with me after he grew up and moved out. Guess it pays to buy the premium bird seed!!
When I'm not quilting, crafting or maintaining my home and garden I love to travel, ride my motorcycle, or spend the day paddling up one of the local rivers in a kyak.
I love getting envies with commemorative stamps and a personal note, it really makes the swap more fun. I'm mostly here to swap postcards, but do occasionally swap ATC's so I like stuff that I can use to make them with.
I love old time rock and roll and blues.
From Dusk till dawn, anything with Arnie, and sci fi I love The Walking Dead, Breaking Bad, Sons of Anarchy, Better Call Saul, and Outlander.
Quilting, fabric painting, altered books, ATC's and Swapping
I love motorcycles, quilting, dogs, waterfalls and rivers. I'd love to receive postcards with a "sewing" theme . I'm sure there aren't too many of those out there, but if you come across one I'd like to have it.
I don't like Christian themes or violence, not into "cute" I really like tourist postcards and anything with a railroad theme. My great grandfather was an engineer on a train and I recently inherited his PC collection. I'd like to add to it. I'm working on collecting map postcards cards, so would love to receive those also. I'd also like to collect State Capitol postcards, but any card you send will be fine, I love being surprised. The only cards I don't like are the flimsy ones, the ones that you tear out of books, Zazzle cards and black and white photo cards.
I love to read, I have library cards for 3 different networks so I use my Kindle and my smart phone to download lots of e books and audio books.
Some of my current favorite books:
The Art of Racing in the Rain by Garth Stein
The Dark Tower Series by Stephen King I read it a few years ago and now I'm listening to it
Room by Emma Donoghue
Outlander by Diana Gabaldon
James Lee Burke Lee Child Craig Johnson David Baldacci
I could go on, but those are some of my current favorites.
It's a little thing, but I hate when people put the whole state name instead of the abbreviation. I swap postcards and have to look it up. You don't have a lot of room on a postcard!
