Comment: Thank you so much! Yes, It is disappointing that they canceled the show but just because of tradition. Heaven knows I don't need to buy anything. LOL! This will be my first time to miss it in 20 years. Have an awesome day and stay safe!
Response: I only went once, hopefully I wil lget to go again but I'm not expecting the world to look the same ever again.
Comment: Hello, Cindy! In response to your comment on my profile:
I only started doing postcrossing after being in lockdown. I had a lot of free time on my hands to write postcards.
I understand what you mean about postage being expensive, but I find that it brings me a lot of joy, so I spend the money to do it. :)
I hope you are and your loved ones are safe and well!
Response: II start and stop swapping. It really is great getting happy mail. I want to get out now and buy a bunch of cards any flat swap items so this winter I can do a lot of swapping.
Comment: Thank you for the great Boston postcard. I love the great views from the city. I hope we can return to normal soon as well. I have been home since March..but I am actually loving the extra time with my dog.
Comment: Thanks for the lovely PC.
What luck! Newport is a wonderful place to visit. I'd take it over the Cape. Of course, I've only been to export twice. One of our daughters lives on Cape, is I have been there... must be closing in on fifty times.
Response: So glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for the heart
Comment: Thank you for the PC. I've never been to Cape Cod. A worship arts dancer dances during the worship part of the service. It incorporates all forms of dance and dance tools such as banners, flag, silks, throw streamers, fan streamers, etc. It's quite beautiful!
Comment: Wow, I love the New England postcards you sent to me for the swap. And I enjoyed reading & looking at vintage image of Rotterdam PC. Wonderful surprise to see your Disney characters mail art envelope with the Peanuts postage stamps. Hope you have a good May.
Response: Glad you liked the cards, thanks for the heart.
Comment: i liked those parrots from Florida: what a fascinating state! it is bonus when you have
family to visit in that vacationland =)
have fun with those atcs ~ my mind draws a
blank artistically, so i go with sharing products
from others more creative than me!
Response: I'm sure you're more creative than you think. Glad you liked the card.
Comment: Thank you for your card and note. I got to see my granddaughter and great grandkids on Sunday. They came down to see her Dad and Me because of our birthdays (Mine last Wed and His this Fri) Really enjoyed the visit.
Comment: Hi Cindy Love the pc and love the things we would do If I came to visit. I have never been to any of the New England states!! The furthest east I have been is Washington Dc, North Carolina, and South Carolina. Thanks for a wonderful swap! :)
Comment: I'm so sorry for the delay in rating. Last weekend in cleaning the storage room we found a bag of mail and your swap was in it.
And thanks for the well wishes about my health. I'm doing much better
Comment: Thanks for the great DC PC 😋 I think the only thing I got on Black Friday was a dog shaped pillow at the bookstore and I ordered some new board games online. I didn't really have any extra money to spend but somehow I can always justify a few new games. 😜 I wish they would have put more Swamp Thing and Vertigo covers in the DC set. Batman is always awesome but why so many Superman PCs?
Response: Thanks for the heart. You probably get lots of pleasure from the games so money well spent
Comment: Thank you for the magical, mysterious moonlight tree Marimekko card -- it reminds me of the poster art of both original Broadway productions of A Little Night Music and Into the Woods, two of my favorite musicals :) -- and for sharing your country line dance class! I always remind myself to have fun whenever I take a dance class. Hope you are having a good holiday weekend <3
Comment: Ahhhh! I wish I could give you a bushel of hearts and stars, Cindy :) I agree with your message -- thank you for brightening this overcast day with your thoughtful, wonderful assortment of PCs! I gasped to see Bernstein and The Incredibles, and I love everything you sent <3
Comment: Thank you for the stunning card featuring Mr. Taylor and Ms. Harlow in Personal Property (I will have to watch it!) and for sharing the cold and grey day -- sounds lovely :) Looking forward to colder weather soon <3 Happy Halloween!
Comment: Thanks for the gret Cape Cod map PC! It's great! I haven't read any of the actual Craig Johnson books myself, however he does book signings at our local library 1-2 times a year. I think I need to read some! :) I do love the Longmire tv show! Have a great day!
Response: I'm jealous, we never have any good authors at our library.
Comment: Thank you for the great postcard swap. All keepers for me. Thank you also for looking at my profile to choose them. Yeah they are all kind on the site! Thank God there are more nice ones in stead of the ones that only think of themselves! By-the-way, what happened to you is against the rules! - you have the right to complain about that. Contact the host of the swap and point it out to her.
Comment: Hi Cindy
Yes winters are long to me. I suffer from lung issues, and the cold and the humidity of summer makes it hard to breathe, so I spend much of my time indoors. Well, have a great week and happy swapping to you....
Comment: Lol, it's an illusion 90% of those swaps are from years ago with an old account. Swapbot will merge your accounts. I've probably only been in about 50 swaps in the past three months! :p Thank you for the cards, I especially liked the Plymouth Rock one.
Response: Glad you like the cards. Well, 50 swaps in 3 months is 4 a week, that's a lot. I think so anyway. Thanks for the heart
Comment: Thanks so much for the MA state post card! TIt is a new one for me and, when I was collecting them originally, I had a heck of a time in finding one. In fact, one of my dear friends, who is originally from there, when he went back, couldn't find one and ended up drawing me one. So sweet! Hugs from Alaska, Sherry
Comment: Thank you for the K PC. My husband started the Harley today for the first time in 3 weeks. He keeps the battery charger on it in the winter. We have become fair weather riders. Getting older, we would rather ride in the Hummer when it's cold. Be safe!
Comment: Thanks for the great PC! I actually do watch a lot of tv, I almost always have netflix on in the background lol. Before I started nursing school I did a ton of art and ATC swaps, but I dont really have time for the anymore so I'm just doing holiday card and PC swaps now. :)
Response: Thanks for the heart, I love ATC's too, but time is always a problem.
Comment: hello Cindy! i chuckled at what you wrote :-) i do spend a lot of time writing and creating mail. it's therapeutic. yes, postcrossing was my first exposure to postcards. thank you for the lovely postcard! have an awesome day! ^-^
Comment: Thanks for the funny Prez Day PC :D I love to get outdoors as much as possible too, although I don't ride a motorcycle lol. Sounds like you had an awesome week, I hope this week is just as good!
Comment: Thanks for the fabulous aerial view of the Boston Pops. When I lived in Boston, I'd walk to the Esplanade for Pops concerts - including the 4th of July fireworks - which is good because driving there is a nightmare.
Response: I've never gone, too much traffic. It must have been fun to live right in the city
Comment: I love the Cape Cod Light. . .thank you so much. AS for my PC collection, they are mostly in the photo boxes you can get a Michaels and I make 'topic' dividers. My 'state' collection is in a notebook with photo pages that hold six 4x6 photos (3 in front, 3 on back) so I have the state map, capitol, flag, bird, flower, and license plate (a page, both sides, per state. . . and one for DC). Thanks again for the Cape Cod Light. .. and hope to see you again in a upcoming swap ~~
Response: Thanks for your help. Your system sounds like it would work for me. My cards are in the same boxes but mostly just mixed up. My grandmother s cards are in a notebook
Comment: I enjoyed reading your letter. I know you said you thought we have very little in common (which I think is what makes it more fun!) But I think we have a few things we could talk about. I hope you don't mind if I write you back.
Response: I;m so glad you liked the letter and I'd welcome a response.
Comment: Thanks for your kind words and well wishes. I have been to The Cape, but it was years ago. I used to live in NH. My Hubby was born in Mass, I still love him anyway hahhahahahha. Oh sorry. But I loved the card.
Response: glad you liked the card and Thanks for the heart
Comment: Thank you for the great postcard. I'm sorry to hear you've been having a bad week. I dumped a guy friend in the river cause he was making fun of me... guess I don't make the best fishing partner
Comment: Hi Cindy! Thanks so much for the lovely pcs! I love each one! And I appreciate the fabric charms too! I am making my grandson an I Spy quilt so these will come in very handy! Hope you have an awesome weekend and Happy Thanksgiving!
Comment: Thanks for the Bailey Island print. :) I've been busy outside this summer as well...gardening and swimming in my dad's pool back in my hometown. I love the summer, I just wish it weren't so HOT here! :)
Comment: Hi Cindy & thanks for the great mix of postcards. Of course my favorite is the Dürer one of the rhinoceros, one of my favorite rhino images. Hope you're having a good end of your summer. Take care ;)
Comment: My daughters and I were so excited to see the Massachusetts postcard come in the mail! We're going to be headed to New England in September to do a driving trip to see the states there and do a more "hands-on" geography study. Can't wait to visit some of the places in MA that we saw noted on your postcard!!
Comment: Hi! Happy Summer to you as well! Thanks so much for the lovely pc - do you find many of your pcs locally? I am on the lookout all the time now, but it is not as easy to locate in my area as when I was younger ;( - LOL! Hugs and Happy Swapping! ;)
Response: I live near a couple of tourist spots so every now and then I take a ride and pick up a bunch.
Comment: Thank you, Cindy, for considering my Orphaned Postcard Project! The Chock Full of Nuts and Pie Row cards will be added later this month, but the others are now addressed and ready to be mailed to correspondents ... new postcards have no time to breath in my house ... they are out as fast as they come in :-)
Comment: Thanks for the nice card, yes postcards are my hobby, but I'm a stay at home mom.
Response: Do you have a theme for your PC collection? I just found out a co-worker collects PCs. He has every card ever printed for his hometown. My collection is very haphazard, but I'm thinking I should be more organized.
Comment: Thanks so much for the card. Ya, at times I am in the max of 20 swaps. I mostly only sign up for postcard swaps, but I couldn't resist the christmas card ones either! I wish you the best, happy holidays!
Comment: Hello Cindy- Thanks so much for the great map card of Massachusetts. I don't have a MA map yet, so I am thrilled to get this one! I have visited your state several times, and thought it was beautiful. I have been to Plymouth Rock, and have swam at Revere Beach, among other things. There is such great history in that area. I think everyone would understand the history of our country better if they visited some of those historic sites. I hope you are having a nice fall there. Best wishes, Debbie Christian
Response: Glad you liked the card and than ks for the nice response. I went out to lunch in Plymouth yesterday, I drove b y the rock LOL Happy swapping
Comment: Haha well florida isn't for everyone! I would say anything north of Orlando is ok. Just not Miami. Unless you enjoy the "South Beach" lifestyle. I don't so I deal with the high cost of living, the traffic and the rude people for no reason!
Response: I do love to visit FL. It's a great place to swim in the ocean. I can't go in the water here, too cold.
Thanks for the heart
Comment: wow- what a cool card- what technique did you use to make the abstract images?
Response: I'm sorry, I forget which card I sent you. Was it the one that looked like blobs of paint? If so I put acrylic paints on a piece of cardstock or freeser paper then put the cardstock on top, mushed it around a bit and pulled it off. When it was dry I added some lined with a felt tip pen. Fun to do, but messy
Comment: Hi I got your letter this morning and although i was supposed to be leaving to go to an induction for a course i sat down and read your letter then power walked for a bit lol. Thank you muchlie!
Response: I get excited when I get my letters too, but I usually wait to open them for a time I can sit down and take my time with them. Glad you enjoyed it.
Comment: Thank you for the lovely postcard! I`m really getting addicted to them!
Response: I've loved postcard since I was a kid, but never knew anyone else did. Glad I've found a way to increase my collection. I just bought some really great postcards from Ed Hamilton books, can't wait to start swapping them!
Comment: What an amazing list! I love that you saved the feral cats! It made me tear up! And raising boys into good men, thats amazing! I'm totally inspired by you. I want to learn to quilt!
Response: Thanks for the great comment. I highly recommend quilting and there are lots of ways to learn. Buy a book, take a class at a shop or at the local evening school. You can also find lots of info on the internet.
Comment: Hello Cindy, Congratulations on your completion of your Monochromatic ATC. You did a great job!!! I liked how you used varied materials--ribbon, brads, paint, and die cuts. I will proudly add your ATC to my ever growing ATC collection. I hope we have an opportunity to swap again in the future. Until then, Happy Swapping!!
Comment: I joined so many swaps recently, that I honestly can not remember what I got and from whom. All I know is that everything I have received has been great and so everyone is getting a 5 and a heart rating.
